Default ej20 rod knock options?

ok i am looking for options, advice and helpfull links. i have been using the search but can't seem to find what im looking for. i have developed a knock in my motor shortly after i rebuilt it. being my first rebuild ever i am willing to except that i probubly used to much honda bond and sealed up a passage. i have the ej25 that came out of it. (99lgt) should i could i swap the block to the na 2.5? compression ratio will go up. should i just turn the boost down? will the valves clear? how strong are the internals in comparison to the 02 wrx? (what is the name of the na ej25 dohc) also if i decided to fix my 2.0 block will an sti crank and rods fit into the 2.0 block? will this stroke it? (he he) anyway i know its alot but anything cunstructive will help. thanks!

Ok, I'm guessing you have an EJ205?...EJ25D (IIRC) block with those heads will be significantly high CR...don't do unless you wanna run NA
I'm not sure of the math on it as I haven't spent the time on it.

STi crank and rods will fit into the EJ205 block to make a 2.12L stroker. You can find lots of threads and discussion on this setup. You'll either need to order a certain set of Mahle pistons or order custom pistons.

Your rod knock could have come from a slew of things.
