they're not hard to spot seeing as how 99.9% of the people that frequent front page/union jacks/rock bottom/any other bar in that area are caucasian. i'm not saying you should suspect any or all non-caucasians as being gang members, but the demographic there makes it pretty easy to pick out who MIGHT be a gang member.
Racist!!!!!!!!!!!!

Totally unrelated but since I had multiple tabs open, the title of the tab was cut off, so it said "Stabbing in Balls"

Carry on.

sproing76, slowWS6 and I take skating lessons at Kettler. We usually grab a bite to eat together after class, and we go anywhere from Front Page to Super Pollo (a Peruvian chicken joint).

I think it's a bit biased to make comments about non-Caucasian people being "suspicious" in that area. Until they moved, Super Pollo was right next to Ballston Mall too.

Chalk it up to stupid people in a well-traveled area. Can we watch out for stupid people? We can try, but the problem is that we can't always see the stupidity that some can exhibit until it's too late.

WOW so since I'm in that .1 % and love rocking fitted hats backwards and have two studs in my ears I must be suspect.

I probably wont be out there really but I suggest that you go. Wednesday HH there is really cheap and have a nice small selection of their own Micro brewed beer. Radio Tower Red is my favorite, I get a growler of it when ever I go.

...... yup should of multi quoted instead of three separate post, my bad

i think i need to clarify. walking through ballston/clarendon/arlington, it's fairly easy to spot those that are up to no good. i'm not saying you should profile people due to their race, but it just so happens that 2 rival hispanic/latino gangs decided to go after it. i'm just sayin that if you're afraid of a confrontation with said people, it should be fairly easy to spot those that are up to no good out of the whole population.

and about stupid people? i have to agree. i see it everywhere i go and the stupidity is exhibited by all races.

3-4 of my best friends are heavily tattooed from head to toe. when i'm with them, i'm usually wearing 2 black studs, black castro hat, and black hoodie. i'm in that 0.1% too so i'm just as suspect as you are

That's not much of a sentence, but

... creepy, John PM'd me on Facebook as I was typing this. STALKER!!

NYC will always have more tough guy douchebags than Philly does, both in number and in quality. And there are far more tools wearing Yankee hats who don't even know what a designated hitter is (some of whom are certainly from NYC). And anyone with $208 million can buy a World Series apparently...

I take it you didn't see my last FB status

If I am getting dragged into a stabbing in Ballston thread I am not holding back! I need a website devoted to "why all the crap you think about Philly fans is wrong"... Santa, Michael Irvin, etc. It does get a bit old. I'm OK with how the world series ended... the Phils will be back.

I've got too lazy to edit my sentence. I could be a band wagon fan sometimes.

It was a good game after all. A few of the Philly players at bat, worried me. But we all LOVED screaming "Who's your daddy" at Pedro..Should have heard it..

That strikeout on Utley in the 7th was BS. He did not go around. Neither did Matsui an inning later. The umpiring on balls and strikes on both sides was horrendous. But what are ya gonna do

Tell me about it. The umps were calling things left and right all wrong throughout the series. I was surprised they went to video for the A-Rod HR that hit the camera.

Sorry for calling you a "it" by accident above.
