Default turbo kit

anyone know anything about this turbo kit?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDMS-...Q5fAccessories

on legacygt someone posted this as an alternative to the upcoming AVO kit coming out for the 2.5i, first question the person wondered was if it was compatible with 05+ (EJ253), next thing they were wondering was how good of a product it was, my guess is since its an "ebay product" it looks like a recipe for disaster and is just begging to blow your motor with the kind of power they advertise it to give you. anyone have any knowledge about this?

well with that kind of power that its advertised to put out, a EM system is a must, i guess you would have to have a custom UP and DP made for it unless there are other manufacturers that make UP and DP's for kits for imprezas? i have no interest in buying this kit for my car i'm just trying to find some information about this kit since it was made for impreza's, didnt know if anyone on here has tried it, or if its too new. my guess is some custom work to an existing UP and DP and have a weld new flange to mate up with the kit? but to answer the question for the majority of people on legacygt, will it be compatible with the EJ253?

i know the one that AVO and rallitek designed doesnt require EM its 100% bolt on because its a low boost kit, but does come with UP and DP.

OMG dude where did you get that idea from? It absolutely needs engine management to run more fuel. If you just bolt it on and go out to the street trust me your engine will go KABOOOOOOOOOMMMM, wont last you 5 mins or even less.

You better off building your own kit, muffler shop can make up-pipe, downpipe, get a wastegate, blow-off , turbo, intercooler and some EM and you off, and some other miscellaneous stuff.

I wouldn't trust a 699 turbo kit, since the turbo I'm looking at using is 750 for just the turbo. Trust me that kit is garbage, the ic piping won't come close to fitting and that chinese made turbo is sure to have shalf play right out of the box. You'll prolly want a turbo with a more free flowing exhaust side. As far as em you can just open source the ecu.

nah i'm just upgrading to an LGT or spec b in the spring, then i could get whatever turbo, UP, DP, EWG, or intercooler that i please and not have to worry about tuning. look into the rallitek/avo kit, its 100% bolt on, with the accessport they offer for the 2.5i it makes tuning for the kit easier, which as we all know tuning an N/A car to run a turbo isnt easy.

even coming from a newbie, the kit looks severely incomplete and cheap component wise. why would you even consider a no name turbo? if you'd like, you can send me $1000 and ill set it on fire for you.

once again, i am not buying this kit, there is a discussion on the LGT forums in a thread about the AVO rallitek kit, another member posted that ebay kit wondering about it as an alternative and since it was made for an impreza i figure i would post something on here to find out some information about it. some "ebay products" have worked out well for people so im just trying to get some information about this. i am doing the smart thing and upgrading to a new car that is already turboed, it'll save me the headaches.
