Cool...I've seen pics on the net of the DDS3 looking like below. Personally, I think that looks the best out of the DDS3's. Which version is that? Is the adapter something like what is shown here?

If you were to get a tune on 50/50 and then ran a mix of 60meth/40water would there be any issues with that.

No. What you have lost on latent heat from water wousdl have been replaced by octane increase due to higher percentage of methanol.

Our DDS3 gauge looks nothing like your picture. It doesn't have a red cross in the centre.

I'm thinking Richard couldn't see the picture and all that was showing is the box with a red X in it.

Richard, just asking, but does the PUmp NEED to be installed below the level of the tank for a gravity feed ?
im thinking of instaling a kit and mounting the mpum somewhere in the engine compartment and using my exitsing interoolcer reservior as the meth/water tank. thoughts please? I really do NOT want to install anything in my trunk! |

If for any reason the system runs dry, you can to re-prime the pump manually. All HFS-xx is equipped with a water level sensor, the system will stop injecting when water level is low, so emptying the tank completely is almost impossible. We have many users that install the system in the engine bay, just keep the pump from direct heat locations and position away from frequently water spray (road salt). |

Can you tell me a bit more about your car. Has the system suddenly dropped down to 75%?

I run 50/50 in my car. Its a dom3 setup with all supporting mods, which I got tuned by doug at topspeed. The pump is mounted in the trunk using the water tank that comes stock. Oh yeah 04 sti. It has always run only up to 75% and we could never figure it out. Not really sure what else to tell you

i know Aquamist manufacturers the kits for PERRIN, can the same be sai for the perrin pumps? can they be mounted above the level of the fluid reservior? or does that pupm need graviry?
Currently im trying to use the smallest physical size pump as possible with a good reliability factor for my Meth install. Any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks! |

The gauge is not meant to read absolute value. It works more like an indicator, much the same as a temperature gauge, L (cold) or H (hot). Under normal operation, it should read some where above 50% during injection. Top speed would have calibrated the gauge at around 70-75% so that the failsafe can detect regions above or brlow the normal flow. This way the failsafe can detect "clogged" jet and "cut" hose. In this case when flow goes beyond 75%, the failsafe will trigger. This is the reason why it reads only 75% of full scale under nirmal driving conditions. |

This system is designed to be fitted in the engine bay area. We have been making this system over the last five years, the design and reliability has been improved constantly as we learn the characteristics of the pump. The first production was for another well known US company, who commissioned us to produce a small PPS system for them. So far we have not far any breakdown report. The price is very well placed amonhst the PPS based system. I would suggest contact Perrin for your technical support as Jeff knows a great deal more than I do - we have never made this system under the Aquamist brand. |

Where do you normally recommend INSTALLING the
1) DDS3V8 Junction board 2) Fia2 Fuel injection amplifier Are these 2 recommended for Inside cabin install or are they safe to install in the engine bay? I have been reading and i figure that i will install the flow sensor on a side egeine bay wall and make a custom cover for water protection purposes. Please let em know where Your company usually installs these 2 boxes. thank you |

2) The FIA2 can also be installed in the same area. Avoid engine bay if possible. Your suggestion of the location for the water flow sensor is perfect. It is 100% water proof. |
