I like this...in case I want to sell them later it helps to have the 'proof' for a buyer...

Will this setup fit the 08+ 2.5i owners? Our shocks/springs are worse than the WRX OEM setup.

I'd much prefer silver, or even yellow (like in the pic above). Apart from the performance aspect, aftermarket stuff might as well look aftermarket, and stock is black. Plus my car could use a little color behind the wheels since everything else is black

I prefer non-black suspension/underbody parts anyhow....it makes things easier to see when you're under the car working, adjusting, etc...

(btw, I have ordered already)

why do you need to sneak them by? If you have to "sneak by" the dealership, it's not that hard to just swap the stockers back on.

Besides, the Bilstein/GTWORX logo(s) would give it away I would think....and most techs would be able to tell the difference in other ways, even the dumb ones...

Well thanks for the feedback. There are some very specific reasons behind Black. For one, Silver was done by the company that prevented this from being an affordable option for the last 14 years. ( cough, has the word "DRIVE" in it)..Secondly, yellow is the standard Bilstein shock colors and this isnt the standard off the shelf Bilstein as it can not be bought anywhere else and so it is special. What we are doing with it is special. While I realize that black is a very boring color and or not very blingy.....when I look around at other private label damper choices...for oem fitment, black is the # 1 color. Dinan, Callaway, AMG,RUF...the list goes on. While we are certainly not a Dinan, or a RUF or a Callaway...what is being done here is MORE special because of the volume and the market and price point.

One other thing is the yellow of the springs and the standard Bilstein yellow do not match at all.

I asked for opinions to see where the interest was.

Its funny.....when RCE released the Yellows for the STI....MOST complained of the color !!

Who woulda' thunk it huh.....

how about black and white stripes, like a zebra. I bet nobody has any that look that that

actually, that would look pretty cool...I might have to paint them that way myself just for the hell of it.

Keep in mind my "woodstock creative freinds"....(lol)....that the functionality of these units will be the real focus, but the aesthetics must have mass appeal.

But in the end I think the way they perform will be the key !!

What about the blue from the bilstein logo? I'd really like there to be some color other than black...

Gunmetal grey is my pick. Black is always good too. In the end I'm more concerned with how they perform more than how they look.

^^I'll take mine like that please^^

That is nice and clean. I will have a nice time looking at them and taking a few pictures before removing them from the box, installing them, and then never worrying about how they look (because I can hardly see them anyway).

I don't care about the color. All I am looking for is performance orientated suspension that is made to take a beating. They could be pink in color for all I care.

GTWORX

I've already ordered mine, so whatever color they come in, that's what I'll use. would I like a color? sure. Does it really matter much to me? no. But if I could count how many times on automotive forums I've heard someone say "damn those springs/coilovers/brakes/swaybars LOOK cool as hell, I need to get some of those" I'd be counting a long, long time.

Alot of morons with money out there buy things for looks over performance. The more people buy these things, the lower the cost will be. The performance will be great regardless of color. Get those handful of extra sales by making them *look tyte yo* for the 16yr old who wants to impress his high school friends with his cool-looking suspension More sales = reduce per unit cost = everyone wins!

hell, make em pink for all the JDM fanbois (no, please don't).

meh...they'll be sitting in my garage for a month or two while I wait out the end of winter. And I have a bad habit of painting things with the40 spray cans sitting in my cabinet. Mine will probably end up all painte 4 different colors, lol....

disclaimer: arguing about it only because we already know that they'll perform great, so what's left to talk about other than color?

I think I found someone near POWAY, California for a Beta tester and for me to use for testing. We are on schedule for a very early December proto/testing schedule. I will fly out and stay for 3 days and log alot of miles, while Bilstein installs 1 set of shocks and has a second set ready for revalve. I will drive car and formulate needed changes if any. Beta tester keeps initial set and I return to east coast with 2nd set for long term testing and updates. After that its all about production.
