My first one was an 04FXT. I wanted a WRX but when I realized the functionality of the FXT (and how it planted my a$$ in the back of the seat) I was sold!

Default 2 Things sold me...

1. I had two cars and was sick of it. My summer car that ran high 11s / low 12s, and my Honda Accord.

The Accord was nice but boring and I could only drive my summer car 3.5 months out of the year due to weather. Plus it became almost a ritual that I had to repair or work on something on the car before I could take it out

Basically decided I wanted something fast that I could drive all year round.

2. I bought an 03 WRX back in end of 02. I was making tons of money and still living at home so I did what any stupid kid would do and bought a car. I had the most fun winter of my entire Adult life with that car, but when it warmed up that thing just didn't have enough power and performance to justify the hefty car payment so I sold it. But I knew if the STi was as fun as the WRX in winter, but had the balls to make me happy in the summer then I would love it.

Well, Here I am and I do love my car.

OHH, just thought of why I bought the 03 WRX in the first place... I thought Rally was awesome and thought one day I could Rally the car once it had a ton of miles on it.

All my friends drive Subarus, and I loved the styling on the Impreza. Wanted a WRX but glad I bought a 2.5i with low miles because I would have a tough time paying for maintenance on a turbo engine.

When I bought my '02 WRX sedan I was sold by magazine reviews and going to a car show at Mastro Subaru here in Tampa. The bugeye car looked really cool and was different than anything else on the market.

When I bought my '06 wagon last Spring I was sold by the fact that I could own a WRX and actually fit stuff inside of it. Moving into a new apt and a road trip to Petit Le Mans confirmed that I made a wise decision

Fell in love with subaru's while watching WRC in the 90s. I wanted a GC8 WRX so bad but we never got one. I was one of the first on the order list for the 02 WRX and got a white wagon. Money got tough and I had to sell it about a year after buying it. I've wanted that car back every day. Now that the WRX is even better (imo anyway) I really want another one. Saving my $ right now.

Bought a new 2.5RS sedan in 2000. Loved it for its drive, traction and reliability.

Bought the '04 wag in 2003 b/c it was a wagon and it was red. As much as I love it, I wouldn't have bought it had I known everything I now know:

-- crap stock suspension, poor oiling, garbage stock cams/valvetrain, serious inefficiencies due to packaging compromises...

Currently, Subaru doesn't make a single model I or my wife (she drive a '07 Legacy 2.5i) would buy.

+1. Seeing those commercials got my attention and after a bit of research I was sold....although it took me 7 years to finally get one.

A lot of subarus in the family growing up (Brat, GLs, a couple of Loyales, XT coupe) and never a negative experience. I got my first (a 98 forester) this year and I'm sold for life. I want a OB sport next.

The rally heritage/awd/turbo and just the fun of driving the suby is what got me into getting one, I am one of the few that have wrx's or sti's in my town.

A friend let me drive his 04 WRX and soon after, when I wanted to get rid of my 03 Eclipse, the WRX was the best bang for the buck car on the market. I bought it and have had several other various GC-era Imprezas since. I was so enamored with the performance and reliability of Subarus (I bought the extended warranty and the only thing I could find for them to fix was a fog light bulb) that I now sell them. =)

The baja was love at first sight. I always dreamed of a compact truck I could 'do up'. One that would become the perfect blend of utility/performance/fun.
The turbo baja seemed like it was custom tailored to exactly what I was looking for. My little trucklet is a head turner for sure here in Canada. With only a handfull of NA baja's ever sold here .... the turbo baja is UBER rare.
It literally is my dream ride. And to anyone that has ever lusted after one particular car.... I can't even tell you how it feels to wake up every morning and actually remind yourself that you own your dream ride. its the coolest feeling in the world.

And of course, at the stop light ....
slammed s10's or 'pretty boy' trucks get an occasional education in making fun of a 'jap truck' and my little box.

I remember seeing this back in high school in the library as they had popular magazine subscriptions.

I think Mitsu', stole the idea for the new styling from the 02-03s.

ps
whenever i reconsider my purchace 5+ years ago i browse articles like this http://www.modified.com/roadtests/0103scc_2002_subaru_wrx/index.html. Where even the most modest car mag would accept and realize that the import industry is bigger than the "honda"
