Default whats he diff tdo4 vs vf39

tring to replace the beat turbo in my 04 sti i just bought
whats the diff in the turbos? vehicle will be getting pro tuned after the swap , i already have a turbo xs front mount , forged wga cat less dp , xs bov and a getto intake that it had on it

A stock STI has a VF39 on it and you will make more power with a VF39 rather than a TD04. Search for some dyno charts for both turbos and you'll see the better choice is the VF39.

TD04 is the smaller turbo the 02-07 WRX's have the VF39 is the larger turbo the STI's used in your MY. A td04 would be a downgrade for you.

well my vf39 blew a while back and i used a wrx td04 turbo for a while it worked ok for me, didnt tune it but also didnt race, just used it to get me around still till a good deal came up for another vf39. but yea it spooled really fast and good no top end power and yea ate gas alot lol, but if need something to just get you around get one, i got mine for like $50 and then got me a vf39 once again so yea, now got the fp green oh yay!!!

Better off finding a vf43 the 39 just doesn't hold up
