Default 02-03 center console removal, help

So i have an aftermarket deck i would like to install myself in my wrx.
but i have no idea where to start to pull off the center console(or the silver trim to be more specific), i tried to look through the forums and couldn't find anything. so anyone wanna post any pictures with instructions so i dont ruin anything in my car? thanks for the help.

Open the cup holder, remove the two(?) screws you can see holding the cup holder in. Once you get the cup holder out I think you're good to just start pulling on the silver trim. It might feel tight but it'll release; I start pulling from the top. From there you'll see four screws holding the radio in.

That's correct, but if you're doing any real wiring, just be aware that to get anywhere you pretty much have to remove the ENTIRE dash. So if you need more room or routing than you can get with just the silver trim off, be sure you have a few hours to spare, because it's a lot of removal to get anything else out.
