Ahh, but you see, they are a couple and have a child together, so my guess is if HER rates go up, it would be his problem anyway...

this was basicly my original question, i have come to the conclusion that you are either going to have to make a custom color, or keep mental notes of cars you see with colors you like.

look up corvette jetstream blue, thats my #1 choice, audi sprint blue is also very nice #2

flat upkeep is not as bad as you think it would be.. it depends on which flat you get.. if you get a eggshell flat then yea its going to be a pia, but if you get a wrb with a flat clear or something to that effect it isnt that much of a pain... i just got my aw back from the bodyshop and went flat aw with it n i love it.. i had a poll up on here saying which one to go with..

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1833830

if you look on i think its the 2nd page there is a sick flat blue lambo and i love the look of it...

as far as worth it.........
positive:
rental for a month (can beat on it all i want, use cheap gas, a month's worth of miles not on my car)
fresh paint
new front bumper
new rear bumper
no more dents
fresh supension bits

Negative:
higher ins premium
points on MY license
depreciated re-sale value
spending a month without my STi

there seems to be more positives than negatives, but 3/4 negatives are severe

Her imput is just as welcome as anyone else, so stop being a DICK
So your car is now considered a re-constructed/built title? If not, why is the re-sale value down?

I'd keep the car WRB just because OEM Subaru paint is "very expensive" vs. aftermarket paint "and" you keep more value this way, IMHO, for when you sell it down the road. No worrying about doors/engine bay/etc. interior parts, and yes you have the same color, but at least you keep the value.

If you want to go different color, go to dealerships and look around at different cars in blue, from low end cars to upscale cars, and see what you like the most, if any of them.

I would just keep the WRB for the reasons already stated...then sell it, buy an older school Subaru, and swap in your STI stuff into it, ask the company that returned the car why a 2.5 NA from an RS or Impreza Wagon is sitting in the engine bay and also why you only have 5 gears rather than 6

It's too bright because everything else in his photo is tweaked colors wise to the extent that the car in the photo looks photoshopped into it. If only the wheels were a tad fatter and had some real ghetto bright silver rims on it, it would look straight out of the hood, or like a PT Cruiser

When you go to a car dealer and you are interested in a car what is one of the first things you ask for?? a car-fax report, and when you see that the car was invoiled in a pretty big accident, what do you do?? you either get up and walk away or barter with the dealer to get it cheaper, right? well when the dealer sees the car-fax they are going to take that into consideration when making an offer.

WRB w/ a pearl. Done. All this custom paint crap is going to be a pain when you want to fix a scratch or another accident occurs and when its time to sell....
