That be a lot of oil. HG is probably the reason why.

I'm going to start making it a PSA for everyone to use 1. Peak Global coolant, without silicone additives (almost every other coolant uses silicone additives which will wear away at seals and yes, hurt your HG lifespan), and 2. Subaru Coolant Additive.

I recently saw what Subaru Coolant Additive does to the inside of an engine. Never again will I let that **** into a car I work on.

No pics, just wanted to finish the engine. It looks kind of like muddy moss or maybe some kind of fuzzy clay.
