What's the big deal? This is so you can't use one AP for 5 cars. You have to recoup dev costs somehow.

i replace windows on cars for a living and it doesnt matter if anything is visible or not they will break in rip your car apart and take anything. books, change, gps, phone chargers. best thing you can do is take everything in your house or work with you. dude probly sold it as a pager that needs a new battery for 10 bucks.
forgot to lock the doors on my work van one day someone opened the door and took my crappy black berry phone(work issued). left thousands of dollars worth of tools my gps and wallet. i guess the name was worth more, thank god.
