HELLO!!!! Sorrys its been a while I know but I have been working on the the most insane build ever and I haven't been giving the Lego some love.

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1840729

But I have taking a slight walkabout on this project to clear my head working on the Lego again so I can get some ideas for the other project sorted out.

So here are some pics of my progress. Took some 1990 Honda Accord Fenders and cut the flares off to make myself a "poor mans" widebody so I can could fit some new wheels. MB Battle 18x9.5 +15 on BF Goodrich G-Force KDW 245/35/18s. These wheels were only made for 5x114.3 so I swapped to STi hubs that I re-drilled to 5x114.3 so then next step would be to install STi Brembos. Did that and painted them Henessey Viper "snake bite" green and I took it one step further and threw in my Ver 7 RA Spec-C Close ratio 6-speed in as well. Currently the car is going threw the last few tweeks before I give it to my buddy to paint while I jump back onto the Super Scoob.

Anyways sorry for the delay and in about a month after the Super scoop gets off the lift I'll be doing some engine work to the Legacy for a turbo and in the mean time I'll take on a few one day projects in the interior dressing it up for its new exterior goodness.

ENJOY!!!

You're bloody insane. But I love it! Who'd have thought Honda fenders would work?!

I love how resourceful you are. This is what modding is all about. Bolt-ons are great, but anyone can do that ish!

Subscribed indeed!!!

thankfully you got rid of the other rims and that wing, straight ugry.

looks good so far. wish i had the time to work on my legacy. been stockpiling parts but no results yet.

metal is metal. accord fenders have an extension to them, they've been done before. probably should have eliminated the rust before fitting them though.

how are you going to match the rear bumper to the flares?

Wheels are gone. Spoiler is gone. Rust hole is already fixed and grinded away. Your right you can weld anything to anything so a $120.00 widebody is a win in my book. The bumpers are going to be cut and tailored to bubble out like the flares do. I am also grafting some other pieces from a WRX body kit and try to make my oen little custom bumper. They will also be pulled out a bit so the wheels are not sticking out on the bottom super far. When its all said and done the car will look very clean.

if you get a chance, post more pics of the front flares and some more detail/pics on how you are matching the rear flares with the rear doors.

Did you cut away the stock fender underneath the added on flares? If so, how did you deal with the pinch weld in the rear wheel wells?

I'd love to have more room for wider rubber in a manner like you've done, but I don't have any easy way to deal with the factory wheel well openings once I've added on flares of some sort. Unless I were to run spring rates much higher than I'm interested in running, I'd just end up rubbing anyway.

No, I plan to leave it alone till I ether pull the motor for a turbo setup, or pull the motor for an EG33 or EZ30R. I have been working on the interior and the body work. I should have it all done this weekend. I put some leather 01 Celica seats in it because they are the same color leather but a much sportier seat and redid the door cards and interior lighting. Also a nice coating of dynomat to make it Lexus quiet and I painted my headliner black and recovered my stock carpet in some speaker box carpet since I am not going to spend 400+ in a carpet kit.
