When are you switching to winter tires?

I'm thinking about making the switch next week, I need to have my wheels rebalanced again so why not have them mounted by the shop as well.

I actually switched mine like a month ago. I already had it up on the rack looking it over while I was changing my oil.... Figured if I was going to take my wheels off to rotate I might as well just slap the winters on while I was at it.

Put them on when it snow accumulates for the first time. They are still sitting stacked in the garage.

With the crap roads around here and all of the construction going on I was so happy with the softer ride of my 16" winters compared to the 17" summers! I really want to get a set of 15" Team Dynamics and run them year round now.

I swapped mine last weekend. I ordered Dunlop Winter Sport 3Ds mounted on Kazeras for low cost, decent looking winter wheels from TireRack.com.
I would have waited a few more weeks but I wanted to get through the tire break-in period before the snow flies.

I can't wait to order summer tires on a new set of wheels. I'm definitely leaning towards gold Rota Grids unless I see a decent deal on the wheels forum, and I'm looking forward to driving on something different from the All Seasons.

I'm going to put mine on Wednesday night before I have to drive up to Rhineland for thanksgiving. It is supposed to snow Thursday.

Still waiting for the temps to drop. We've only used the furnace one night this season. But they are freshly balanced and ready to go.
