to add to this if you have small hands you could do this without removing the bumper. you pop the plastic clips holding the fender liner to the bumper and reach in and disconnect the connector.

When do we get a spoiler for the sedan?

I have been debating on whether or not I should sell my sedan and get back into a 2 seater, but have decided to keep it for now. Since I am keeping it, I really want to get rid of the sad stock spoiler.

The duck tail spoiler is practical for proper air deflection. Why would you want to get rid of it?

I noticed that if I fold down the rear seats the ratting goes away so it has something to do with the seats hitting the rear deck or something in the rear deck itself not getting as much vibration from the seats which are closer to the suspension and could be transferring the vibration.

I am definately not putting subs in this car's trunk as it would be a nightmare like my last sedan with rattles (98 Jetta VR6), but I am getting underseat subs by BOSS or Blapunkt (sp?) soon

Naw, not overkill, but does the job. I've got a pair of Hella FF4000 Cornering beams to mount down low too. The light bar is pretty much a prototype. The real deal is being made from tube stock and will be much stronger. It will also come out through the lower grill to give me a place to mount the 4000's. I was going to put the Hella FF HIDs on but figured they'd work better on my actual rally car.

went and sat in an 09 wrx sedan last night..... they really have improved the interior quit a bit since my 04.... and i fell in love with the hood scoop design.... i guess pictures didn't really get me excited, but going and sitting in one last night changed my mind

The same thing happend to me when the first pictures came out for the 08 STi.. but once i saw it in person, loved it...and still do..
And yes, they have improved a lot from 08 to 09 also..

This car is too subtle...need something to make it stand out, without being too ricey. I just want people to think it's something other than a Corolla.

Even some of the other WRX guys don't even see me on the road...or think it's a Legacy or something.

If you can get some better shots of the bar and how you mounted it. I might look into doing something like this.

but if and when i ever get a job, i want a CF trunk with a do-luck style lip on it, then i'll be content.

Yellow fogs, a drop, some meaty tires/eye catching wheels, and tints will help your cause (if you don't already have any that are listed--i'm in need of a drop, badly--plus some nicer wheels/tires)

I do need to do the yellow fogs mod.

Plan on doing coilovers and some type of rim in the spring time. I am already signed up for a track day in May, so need to do it by then.

I have tint, RA flaps, shorty antenna, Perrin exhaust done to the outside and a few things done on the inside. Figured a good spoiler would help. I thought about getting the CF trunk and finding a wing to fit that.

I just came back from a trip to Peru and saw a bunch of pretty cool WRXs. Here is something I want to share with you all, in Peru, Subaru does not offer the WRX sedan, however, they have a pretty cool rear bumper for their sedans, very similar to Legacy GT one. I wish we could get that here...Take a look at it....

thanks for the PM, I might try to fab something up made with foam to sit in there. A black sponge would probably work best and look oem still.

I also noticed some squeaks in the dash/doors when I hit bumps, I'm not sure if its the dash rattling with the car or the door panels hitting it the dash.
