Default Radiator shops that recore?

Anyone know of a good radiator shop that will recore a radiator?

I have a 1980 MGB that I'm trying to breathe some new life into. The radiator is not leaking but the core is fairly well rotted and the cooling efficiency is crap. The car overheats fairly easily.

I have looked into it, and there are replacement options but they aren't good. There are exacting fit replacements but they are said to be cheap and thin. There are also aluminum replacements but the don't fit well and the hose connections are incorrect but can be made to work with other hoses commonly found at parts stores. Which brings me to recoring which seems to be the best solution given i can find a good shop that will do a good job. The core style (tube config) is supposed to be fairly common too but recoring radiators is not as common as it once was.

So if anybody has any recommendations, I'm open to them. Anything within reasonable distance from Northboro, Worcester, Andover or Boston.

Thanks,
Mark

There is a radiator shop across the street from the Kenmore Diner in Worcester. He could probably do it for you. I can't remember their name, sorry.

you could try calling Roger's Radiator in Medford. They just got me a new radiator for my WRX for $170 when the dealer wanted over $400.

That's because you have an aftermarket versus an OEM. This is pretty typical for any car.
