Just got tuned up at Agile on Saturday on my new turbo set up. My TQ was a little lower than I liked, but overall I'm happy with the performance. Let me know what you guys think.

You honestly dont want high torque numbers on a stock 5-speed. For your mods on 93 octane I would be really happy with those numbers. It is on a dynapack which read a little higher than a dyno jet or mustang.

Yea I could post a vid up. Maybe I can get one tomorrow or something. It pulls a lot harder than stage 2 did. 271 torque doesn't sound like that much, but man does it get past 100 quick. And numbers are all relative anyways. I could go back on a cooler day and it could be way higher, or vise versa on a scorching day. I'm gonna try and hit the track to see what I trap to really get an idea.

Edit: Here's an overlay of a VF39 map on the same dyno using about the same set up. The dark blue lines are the 39. The light lines are mine. ![]() Quote:

Hey I just tunned my 05 wrx with the same mods except I have a fmic. And mine did 307whp with 265ft\tq I was wondering why I got such low torque number with a much bigger turbo. I'm running 18psi and the tunner said that was a safer way to go

Yea every tuner is different. And numbers can be different on a different day on the dame dyno. I try not to compare to much to others because numbers are just a guide, there not solid or anything. I'm sure my tuner could have gotten more power out of it, but he said he was on the line where it was safe right now and didn't want to push it any further to compromise reliability. I know it runs good, and my tuner says its safe. That's better than pushing an extra 20 or 30 tq out and risking blowing my motor. He said my tq was a tad lower than he wanted to see it, but that I still put down real good numbers with the parts I had.

Nice numbers, especially with an STi top mount. I dyno'd with basically the same mods at 271/257, this was on a heatbreaker dyno though at 20psi.
Your tuner was right, even though the torque might have been a bit low, it's impressive with the mods. EvoIII16g ftw on the 2.0. |

like burton said he could of gotten more but he said your tune was safe. i put down 329whp/311wtq with the same mods with fmic but at 20psi and not caring to much about my tranny or motor since i want to go ppgs and 2.5 block anyways.

I have a question since we have a similar setup. Do u guys get a fuel cut when u get on it hard? I'm suppose to be set @ 18psi but when I get hard on 4th gear I get a fuel cut cause I over boost around 20psi. My tuner said its better for my engine to do a fuel cut that way I don't mess up my internals...
I wish it wouldn't over boost. What do u guys think? Should I take it back to the tuner |
