Default I need golf course recommendations for Scottsdale area

I'm headed to Scottsdale in a few weeks and I need course recommendations. I've played We Ko Pa (or however it is spelled), Talking Stick, and Eagle Mountain. I'm looking for similar courses. My buddy has a 2 for 1 coupon at a Hilton course, and we are golfing 3 days. So I need two course recommendations. Thanks for any/all help!!!

check out some of the northern courses. I lived at grayhawk for 10 years and that's a favorite among others in that area.

I have a 9:03 tee time at Grayhawk on April 23rd. I just need one more course for Sunday. I'm thinking about Boulders or Troon North.

Both are amazing courses. I've not played Boulders but have toured the area and its super nice. Troon North is one of my favorite courses of all time. Both the Monument and Pinnacle courses are fantastic. I've played there several times since I was a young teen. Hell I should 74 for on the Pinnacle course on Christmas Day, years back. So Troon North and Boulders and definite recommendations.

Dove Valley is another super nice course, as is Wildfire. I thought Eagle Mountain was a dope course too. You've got to try and get on the TPC courses, the Stadium or the Champions. Two other of my all time favorite courses.

Are you interested in playing anywhere else in the Valley?

If memory is with me, I hated Sanctuary. I felt it was hokey and made you play to where the designer wanted. A lot of placement shots tee to green. If Sanctuary is the course I'm thinking of I was hitting 4 or 5 irons off a lot of par 4's and 5's. That was no fun for me.

Does that seem like Sanctuary? Its been a while since I've played there.

PLAY THE BOLDERS, not only is the course awesome, the grooming is phenomenal.

We were playing it once with some friends from Chicago, my buddy hit the longest drive of his life, on a downhill with a boulder in the middle of the fairway, I asked him is that a dog on the fairway, my other friend up there said no it is a coyote, it ran to his ball and we thought it was sniffing it. When we got down there the ball was gone!!! My buddy hits the longest drive in his life and a coyote steals it! Only in Arizona

We had to ask the marshal what to do?

Gold Canyon was another course I didn't like, lol. I bet I have a lot in common with your awesome golfer friends. It is a super beautiful course however. We saw tons of javelina out there.

Another instance, up around Desert Mountain we saw a coyote on a hole with a rattle snake in its mouth. Its still their home up that direction.

yep.. even grayhawk will still have some wildlife even though that is like the center of town these days, which is crazy. Just give a little peek in the cup before you reach in.
