i am looking to spend right around 2,000. i know that the rims are right around 1200-1400, so I was looking for some quality tires to fill in that gap to 2000. Also, I havent heard a whole lot about Axis rims, anybody out there with any of these rims that have some input?

very interested in seeing how this looks. what will your suspension setup be? i havent seen anyone with the +44 offset. everyone runs +48 or +35 or lower. what tire are you planning on running?

I have Epic lowering springs going on at the same time as the wheels/tires. They lower the car about 1" in the front and .9" in the rear. I'll be running 225/40/18 tires to see how those fit. TireRack claims that you can run up to a 9" wheel on 225/40 tires and since these are only 8.5" I should be fine. I'll be starting a thread with installed pictures as soon as the springs settle.

Check out TireRack.com, enter the size tires you want and then pick the brand that appeals to you. That's your best bet.

I ended up getting them for $295 shipped without having to wait for 9 other people to commit to buying so I think it was worth it. Also, with a 245/40/18 tire, you might rub. A closer fit would be a 245/35/18 tire on an 18x8.5 wheel Last edited by SWP n Gold; 04-12-2010 at 09:43 PM. |

Looks great! What Konis are you referring to? Shocks? I wasn't aware they offered any for our cars

thanks. yeah koni shocks. The konis aren't actually made for 08-10 wrxs, it's for 05+ Legacy GTs, but can be made to work. The fronts work fine and the rear shocks have a shorter shock body but the same stroke (i have a picture on 3gwrx.com). It also takes some work to install. You have to gut the front shocks... rear requires a bushing swap, fitting new bump stops or hacking your old ones (shaft diameter is bigger), and drilling out the top hat (that part is easy).

I've been looking for some nice black wheels for my 09 Hatch, but haven't really found anything I like quite yet. Good pics and ideas here, glad I found this thread.
Does anybody know if I can get these to fit my car? DiscountTireDirect shows that the 16s fit, but I want to go with the 18X8s. Not sure if I can work that or not. Would love to put these on my scoob... http://www.tswalloywheels.com/alloy_wheels_asan_5.php |
