Why front inserts?

I hate those things.

Because there are no shocks available for the 08-'10 WRXs except for the $1,000 Bilsteins and they aren't even out yet.

It's cheaper just to make the inserts. Manufacturing costs increases when they have to produce custom stampings and welding brackets for the strut housing. Especially if it will be a low volume product. One reason why the Bilsteins are more espensive because it's a complete strut. A more plug & play setup.

I would probably go for the Konis at the $579 price even if it isn't p&p but if they really raise it to $772 for shocks that aren't even p&p then that's not much better than GTWORX's ridiculous $1,000 price. Come on KYB! Make some AGXs for $500!

I just hope we get D-specs soon. With my 02 SI Koni did the inserts and for the same price I was able to get D-specs and they were just plug and play.

Yet so many people pay that and more for bad coilovers that actually reduce performance. I'd rather pay $1000 for a good suspension than cutting up my oem struts for inserts or for bad coilovers. To each there own.

I'm paying $1100 total for the Bilsteins and RCE yellows, which will be far superior in quality/performance to any $1100 coilovers.
