I'm new to the forum, so if I say/ask stupid things, I'm sorry.
Someday I would like to turbo my 2001 Outback. I've considered installing a turbo, but then there's the exhaust mods, fuel system mods, TMIC or FMIC, BOV, Waste Gate, tune, and whatever I'm forgetting. I figured it would be a heck of a lot easier and more reliable to swap in a Baja Turbo engine. Does anyone know if these would share engine mounts since they are basically the same engine, cept one has been modded to use a turbo? Also, could I just toss the Baja's ECU in and hope for it to work? I'm not looking for something that's gonna make tons of power, it's not gonna be a track car, I was just hoping for a little something extra when I put the pedal down. Do you guys (in your infinite wisdom) think this would be a fairly straight-forward swap? And if anyone knows where I could find an engine, that would be really cool. Thanks!

the baja is FAR FAR more dooable
you would swap everything under the dash then re wire the back half of the car to match up with the baja harness the 06 is can bus |

mounts aren't the issue
you would need the baja sub frame basically swapping every thing from the behind the dash to the front of the car over |
