Default Bugatti Veyron SuperSport

Quote:
A more-powerful Veyron has been rumored for some time, although some publications say they now have confirmation that Bugatti is going to release a 1,200-hp Veyron Supersport in the very near future. The price? An estimated $2.2 million.
Rumors also say that Bugatti plans to build only 30 examples of the Veyron Supersport and that the company has managed to already line up homes for 22 of those cars.

I love it.

So, an extra 200 HP. That will get you what besides bragging rights... an extra 2 mph?

It is a heavy car, but honestly I wouldn't want to have a street car with that much capability, without the safety equipment it has.

Besides, I'm sure there's a few out there that are stripped down for racing. Bet that saves a lot of weight.

I would love for you to show me that Siper. Veyrons are not race cars, they are rich boys penis extensions designed to make youtube videos.

But if you can find me one that has been stripped down for racing and actually used, I will be pleasantly surprised.

People modify Ferraris and customize private jets. Why not a Veyron?

I am not saying it is impossible, I am just saying it is highly unlikely.
And we are not talking about customizing, I was referring to a stripped down race car version of a veyron. Not the same thing as a customized one.

So was I.

A Veyron stripped down would be customized, in my opinion... matter of definition I suppose.

If I had this penis extension and didn't have to shell out 2.2mill for it (or if I could afford to) I would be pretty happy and you people would be too.

It's a cool car alleged penis extension or not.

1200hp, fast, techno awesome?.... sign me up.

I'd sell it and get a good looking car, plus an actual race car, that looks a ton better than it and is a lot quicker. Like an Alfa Romeo TZ3 Zagato+Ferrari 156/85, or an Aston Martin DB9 and a Lotus 97T

As production of the Bugatti Veyron winds toward its eventual conclusion, Bugatti has created what is likely to be the ultimate version of its world-beating hypercar: the Super Sports. Bugatti sent its official test driver Pierre Henri Raphanel out on Volkswagen's Ehra-Lessian high-speed oval with the first Super Sports to see just what it could do. With representatives of the Guinness book of records and German Technical Inspection Agency (TÜV) on hand, Raphanel made passes around the big oval in both directions.

With output bumped up from 1,001 horsepower to 1,200 horsepower, torque swelling to 1,106 pound-feet and a revised aerodynamic kit, Raphanel managed runs of 265.9 and 269.8 mph for an average terminal velocity of 267.81 mph and a new world record for a production car.

The first five production Super Sports will sport the same black and orange finish as the record car and all production models will be electronically limited to 257.9 mph to protect the tires. The Veyron Super Sports will be publicly shown for the first time at the Pebble Beach in August. Click past the break for the full details.
http://www.autoblog.com/2010/07/04/b...ord-at-267-81/

Sets land speed record at 267.81mph.

To some people Ferrari's etc. are like a miata or gti is to you. They think on another scale, doesn't mean they're soulless just rich (although they often do seem to go together). I'm sure they would still have fun in a miata but if you can afford to play big why not?
