Just to give you an idea of how accurate the Airboy spreadsheet can be if used correctly:

Airboy results: 308/323

Went to a Mustangdyne chassis dyno three days later. My results: 308/323

I posted logs of that Airboy 308/323 run in my thread.

Yes, you can cheat with the spreadsheet. The same goes for tuners. They can cheat with their dyno's. Me personally, I probably will never go to a chassis dyno again. I made the Airboy/Trap speed thread for a reason. Once I get to the track, I will post what I made on the Airboy spreadsheet and post my trap speeds. Trap speeds are what really tells you how much you are making.

My personal goal is to have a reliable vehicle that will trap 118+. I personally won't be "happy" until that is accomplished.

You guys have ridiculous numbers for a 2.0. Yet mine is on 93, but 330+...good God. I guess trap speeds will tell all though. I'll airboy mine at some point, but I love this turbo and my car hauls ass now from 3700 till redline the torque is a table.

Hey guys I have an 03 WRX and this seems to be the turbo I want, as it seems to be one of the best turbos for the 2.0L. Right now im stage 2 tuned with AP and have a full invidia tbe and k&n short ram. Now its time to do turbo upgrade, and I am looking to making around the 300whp mark, maybe squeeze out a bit more. The only thing is I would like to see if its possible without meth and on just 93. Ive got the supporting mods STi TMIC ( I know a FMIC will squeeze out a bit more--- thats on its way) Warlboro fuel pump, and debating on whether to jump up to the deatschwerks 750cc injectors.

Anyone have any charts with a similar set up over the 300whp mark on 93 without meth, and if possible without a FM set up yet.

This Turbo is happier in a 2.0. Not impressive at all on the 2.5. Barely outshines the td04.

Compared to a vf39? A worth upgrade? Most people I've heard make 240/260tq Ina td04 and closer to 300/320 on a evo3. A vf is under that around 280/290

Here is the post from my 05 WRX with EVO III 16G...

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2538442

I did another set of road dynos (back to back) a few months later and one was 319/277 and the other was 291/256

I spun a rod bearing a few weeks ago so I will have new dyno plot in a month or 2...this time with a freshly rebuilt ej257 block with sti rods and manley forged pistons (99.75mm and 8.5:1 CR). The heads are being machined to 2.5L spec, 5 angle valve job, everything is being cleaned and built to spec. Also doing TGV delete and adding the 3mm phenolic spacers. Want to do an ELH header but don't have the money now so will have to add that later. Also need a new clutch, going with the Exedy stage 1 to try and preserve the stock 5 speed trans (adding blast plates to help as well). I am hoping for 320+ HP...but going to ask the tuner to keep the torque around 300 if possible until I can get a 6 speed. It will be tuned on 91, since you can't find 93 around here anymore and I don't have enough injector for E85 and the trans wouldn't handle it.

Old thread... Got ripped off BIG TIME by Verocious. They were horribly abysmal in their work, service and professionalism. Had to get everything redone by a reputable tuner (CBRD in York, PA). CBRD did a good job and turn around time was days, not months. Ended up wasting $3,500 at Atrocious, I mean Verocious. Should have taken them to court...

Now I am getting ready for another tune. Hopefully there is something closer to home. I was looking at CBRD in York, Mr Evans in Easton and R/T in Lansdale. Does anyone have any experience with any of these tuners? I will NOT tolerate another Atrocious experience.

Reviving this thread as I wanted to share my 2.0L EVOIII-16g results before my motor build:

Car: 2002 WRX stock block w/ 140k miles

Mods:
Blouch EVOIII-16g
PE 650cc
eBay TMIC
Walbro 255lph
AEM 70mm CAI
Silicone inlet + After-MAF hose
Prodrive EBCS
Tial 38mm EWG VTA
HKS DP with Cobb (2.5" restricted) catback
Borla unequal header
TGV Deletes

On a mustang dyno, tuned by Neetronics in Oakville, Ontario, Canada I put down
308whp
292awtq

This was at 20psi, mildly aggressive timing and 11.2 AFR on 91-vpower

I really enjoyed the flat torque curve and peppiness of this turbo.

In fact I enjoyed it so much that on my fully built ej22t block I will be installing an EVOIII-16G and I believe this will be an ultimate killer DD weekend warrior setup

Stay tuned!
