Nice thread thanks for the help. If I ever have some extra money or am lucky enough to find any of these parts at the junk yard I'd like to update my 95 L

Bump up

I've got
- MY2001 Grill
- MY2001 Lights
- MY95 Hood

Can I get a definite confirmation as to whether the Hood will fit down onto the lights and grill temporarily ?

Thanks

Yes it will. The hood won't latch down all the way because the 2001 grill is slightly taller than the older grill.

Just add a couple of washers on the hood latch so it will dig low enough to latch on the hood.

^It was a sticky in the Impreza Forum, but Nick rearranged the forum.

It's not noticeable from a distance, but get up close and that half inch gap kills me.

People also forget there are two types of headlights for the 97-01 Impreza.
97-99? (correct me if I'm wrong) used the fuzzy headlight that looks like the 93-96. 00-01 used completely clear headlights.

And there are three options for using the bumper beams:
1. Use the stock one. Fab it up. Here's a DIY thread: http://www.rs25.com/forums/f105/t126...onversion.html
2. OEM 2.5RS one. This is the heaviest and most expensive (about $100 new? from the parts counter) but most safe.
3. JDM lightweight beam. Japan doesn't have as strict safety standards. This probably weighs about 30 pounds less. Not recommended unless you're planning on getting a front mount.

Hood:
1. OEM RS one. Weighs about as much as much as the L
2. Seibon carbon fiber hood $650 shipped from eBay
3. OEM STi one. Getting more rare; I can find V1-3 ones easily, but not the 4-6 (newer RS style ones). These are lighter than RS ones; they are aluminum, so they weigh less than Seibon hoods. These will be a bitch to ship.
