Spring rate will be higher, not sure about lowering.

You will need the tophats to. IMO it is a waste of time, '09 struts are a "bit" better but again swapping springs is a waste of time.

If you're the guy who takes his beer bottles back for the pennies in your wallet and not for the environment maybe it will work for you.

Actually, there is no hope.

It won't lower it but it's a pretty noticable improvement.

Jason's remark was clearly sarcastic if you do a lot of suspension work, cutting corners is the worst thing to do. cheer up buddy, he never said you were the beer bottle penny pincher.

Now let's assume if you can do the re & re on the car, as well as get the springs for free it may be worth it, but then you are on a path to upgrade things for very minimal gains.

You might want to give Dales Alignment a call and see what they think on this one; they are experts. Ask for Jason.

you ask for help, but you just flamed the one guy who knows the most about your question so even if you call him and beg for help i think Jason will really have to think twice

wow interesting reply.

the guy you are hating on is the biggest suspension guru on here. hah! FAR from the description you have painted of him hahahaha.

Anyways, he is right. its a waste of time to replace any OEM spring with another OEM spring unless you get them for free and install them because you are bored. The difference will be VERY minimal unless you are driving a brighton or 98 forester or something and put STI springs in it. If this is your first subaru and you want to do it right the first time, buy something aftermarket that will actually make a difference. i Hear RCE is nice. i think you can buy them at Dales alignment.
