Default I/C Water Spray

So guys, on my Limited 07 STi the I/C Water Spray button does not all light up. Only the water and spray light up, not the I/C part.

Is this normal? Or should it all light up?

Thanks!
Bobby

well, does it work? if it works and you are only worrying about the light not coming up, i would probably take it apart and see if theres a bulb inside and if it burnt out. so im thinking open it up, look for bulbs, or look for bulbs around the I/C writing part, and determine from there. or go thru google images and look up night pics to see if other peoples light up

The i/c doe not light up unless you take it apart and use nail polish remover or a knife to scratch away the backing of it. Not hard to do but be carefull not to get the nail polish remover on the front because then you will take the front off too. It will also then be a dim yellowish white so if you want a clean white white you will have to use an aftermarket led which I think would be a T5 led.

requience139 - I mean, I could take it off, but the sheer lazyness is holding me back. Lol. I asked because I figured that someone here would know and save me the effort. If worse comes to worse, I would pull it of course.

The Stig_22B - I'm assuming that you have done this? Do you perchance have a night lume shot? Thanks for the help!

Bobby

yes, thats normal. If you take it apart, its missing a light bulb.
I used a light bulb from another switch, put it in, and it lights up too.

hey yeah im in the process of changing all the lights inside my car to different color ones. Im thinking blue with white accents. I am first clearing all the bulbs and then gonna do a mass order. The only ones I have cleared so far are the ic water spray, key light, and the cigarette lighter. Im going to attempt the hvac controls and the window switches today so I will let you know how it goes. and post a pic up later tonight.
