Two questions?
1- So if my mechanic uses the plug in to read the code for an inspection (after DP install) I will pass right?? 2- How much will a catless DP change the exhaust noise of the car?

Will an Invidia dp that fits on an '06 STi fit on an '07 WRX? I looked and can't find it but really need to know ASAP. I'll keep looking, but if you know for sure, please post. Thanks much, sale pending.

You heard dead wrong. Boost spikes can be aggravated by a catless downpipe...mainly in 2.5L cars, but the CAUSE is the wastegate on the turbo NOT the downpipe.

right now im running a invidia 3in with the stock catback, and it seems to run fine. i went to this from a full 3in tbe, and this seems to run smoother with the incresed back pressure. the dp is heat wrapped and im running a stage 2 ots map from cobb. i would recommend this for anyone looking for a quiet but powerfull setup. i also had a question about the heatwrap. I only wrapped the bellmouth to the first bend and coated the whole thing it the silicone paint (not sure how much that really does?). but awayways sould i wrap the rest or just leave it alone for the wet colorado winters? |

true that...only reason the dp plays a part is the lack of backpressure from a high flow cat...but it's still on the IWG thanks to the fact that EWG is the best way to go anyways...but yup, usually with a tune you can take care of it.

I just bought an '04 wrx...I want to put a catless down pipe on it with an exhaust and I live in CT. Will I have to put the DP on it, get it tuned...then take it off again to get emissions tested? Then redo this process everytime? I 'm confused, and new as you can see..

You are asking a question that is answered in the Cobb Tuning documentation available for viewing and download from the Cobb website. You need to read it and not get the answer handed to you as it is CRITICALLY important to read 1000% of the documentation. If you still can't find the answer, call Cobb.

I know you talk about having to replace the bolts on an aftermarket uppipe, but nothing is said about the downpipe and exhaust. Do these bolts normally not break and hence can be reused most of the time?
