I don't spell well

Default Can I use a bore gauge on acl coated bearings to measure clearance?

Just want to tripple check. Want to use a bore gauge rather than plasti guage since the bore is more accurate. But will have metal on metal contact during measuring. (probe on bearing) This will probably damange the coating as it's uber flimsy. Should I just stick to the plasti guage or can I go ahead and use the bore gauge?
