Thanks for asking! I have the H&R Coilovers on my 2010 STI and Jeff Perrin has a competitor on his 2008 STI.

We were doing some road tuning in my car the other day and he get saying over and over how much he likes my setup better. No harshness, tons of grip, proper damping and less expensive. He is in the middle of a tear down / rebuild on his car now and he will be installing the H&R's as part of that.

So this should be perfect for your Daily Driver! Plus the lifetime warranty is the best in the business!

Let me know if I can help further!

I read somewhere that the shocks were
Made by blitzen. Is that right? What does the lifete guarantee cover? Do you guys give discounts or have any coupon codes runnin? I'd like to get the suspension kit you guys offer as well. Would you recommend the hard or soft combo for a DD?

You are correct they are Bilstein Struts in the kit. Lifetime Warranty covers the entire kit for anything other than damage. We have the kits on sale right now for just $1200 marked down from $1700!

On the PERRIN Suspension Kits for the 2008-11 Subaru STi I recommend the Hard Set Up. Most STI owners drive more aggressively and thus can benefit from the stiffer bars. However, with that being said, there is nothing wrong with the Soft Setup if that is better suited to your driving style.

Hope that helps! PLEASE let me know how I can help further!

What are the spring rates on the coilovers? I am debating picking them up with your 25mm sway kit for autocrossing and a little HPDE on the weekends without making my DD unbearable.

Thanks for asking. Which application? Many of the H&R Coilovers come with progressive rate springs, and other come with linear. Linear ones I have rates, progressive I have % ranges. Just let me know!

What do you guys recommend (coilovers or springs) for getting the wife to stop complaining about the ride quality of a stock suspension 07 STI (besides refusing to drive her around)?

I was going to say, just get a new wife, but........

In order to improve the ride quality, I would suspect the H&R lowering springs would be the best choice. Only because they are slightly softer (5%) vs. stock in the first .75" of compression. So freeway ride would be better than stock.

But...

Under harsher road conditions it would be stiffer.

Maybe just take her car when you go out......

Best of luck!

I assume you mean the vehicle. Its an 06 WRX. If they use progressive springs that is fine, could you send me the percentages? Also how would YOU rate them in a high performance driving situation such as AutoX or on the track?

Thanks,
Chris

We have two options from H&R for the 06 WRX

HR-54458 Sport H&R Coilovers have a working rate of 455 Front and 290 Rear

The HR-RSS46339-1 (not shown but available for $1412.89 PM me please) is 680 Front and 515 Rear.

BTW: I have used both examples on my own cars and would be happy to answer any specific questions one might have.

Hope that helps! Please let me know how I can help in anyway!

How are the sport springs in an '04 STi? Looking to lower the car, but don't really want coilovers.

This is an old thread but I was wondering if anyone knew if H&R was making sport springs for the 2011 STI sedans yet?
