Yeah, I tried to go 1/2 and could only get 1 thread, so 5/8 is a no go. Want me to look into building some aluminum ones?

Yeah, before you make them, let me know how much you think they would cost.

thanks Nate.

little help before posting my car for sale, what do you guys feel would be a legitimate asking price? only the basic mods like wheels intake exhaust and some other little things have been done, 122k miles, fairly decent shape inside and out. have something important that needs taken care of soon and this would make it happen.

thanks in advance

Ray, that is some sad news Honestly, it's pretty hard to price your car around here. I've seen decent bugeyes listed for $6K, and seen them listed for $14K. If I were in the same situation, I would list it for what you honestly feel it is worth and work down from there. From what I have found, when you are getting in the right ballpark, you'll start getting interest.

thanks nate. throw dart, ask price, hope was a little high instead of little low!

am actually looking at auspex's legacy, i want to stay in subaru, the whole four door awd is nice and kinda necessary! also want a dependable vehicle, and when you look at any subarus from brand new to 15 years old, they are all normally 4-5k and go up from there. finding one in decent shape, will be dependable in the long run, and suit my needs will be difficult. the other option is an almost 20 year old legacy wagon, but has been maintained by from what i can tell a very knowledgeable and pretty good member on this forum.

we shall see how it goes, and i will be keeping those parts seperate from the sale so they wont go with the vehicle, you had dibs first.

We did 1 inch spacers on the FXT, but that actually created more problems. 5/8 might be safe but you would need to test and find out. Watch your CV angles.

It would be pretty tough to make 4 spacers for $70. Material alone would be more than half of that.
estimated mill time looks like a hair under 4 hours.

My winter suspension is stock forester struts on Swift sport springs. So, raising it 5/8" wouldn't even be bringing it back up to stock height, so the CV agles should be fine, right?

it wasnt so much the normal ride height that was a problem, but rather max droop. Lowering springs dont limit the amount of droop that the stock struts have. A shorter strut would be best. Honestly it shouldnt be a problem as you dont drive at max droop really ever.

On an unrelated note, I now have a Helix downpipe with cat (not new), mating up to my Borla "hush" catback (not new) via a *new* 3" connection.
No more exhaust leak, no more bottle neck. Butt dyno'd at 0.5 hp and 1 tq. I'm glad to have the leak fixed. I didn't expect any power gains, but I do hope to see a mpg improvement...maybe? We'll see.

No tune for me. But, I'd love to have the boost build a little quicker and hold a little longer. The only other power-adder (aside from the above-mentioned exhaust bits) I've got is an AEM cold air intake.

It is Greg(Wakeabyss) ran his forester on Saturday. the next one is on Oct 30 & 31 at the Idaho I'm planning on dropping by on both days, should come out to watch. If you want you may even be able to score a ridelong with some of the drivers.
