Lastly, while I'm photodumping, I'm trying to get Filiberto's to be my sponsor as they are the official food behind this build. My garage meal of choice:

also, something to think about, my trailing arms and lateral link (steel links) after powdercoating, the ends where the bushing get pressed into, some stretched open a little i guess from the heat, i had to grind off a little powdercoat and tack weld the bushing in, even tho the bushing seemed tight, if i hit it hard enough it would slide and that is why i tack welding them in

That's good advice Jay. I'll be curious to see what happens.

In the interest of saving cash, I will probably leave the Subframe with the Epoxy coating. It's not THAT important to me. I'm thinking that I will do the diff cover to match the lateral links though.

Because we all like pictures, I've got some more:

The wagon as it sits now. It's not pretty. Amazing how poor a car looks once it sits outside for 8 months.

The KW V3's.

ok guys, lets not get in an axle comparison contest. this isnt about whose axle is biggest, or longest, or thickest, although ken would surely win.

Yes. But you'll also notice that the car has no axles, calipers, rotors, driveshaft, fuel tank, trailing arms, rear seat, fenders, bumper, lights, differential, diff carrier, exhaust, downpipe, charcoal canister, etc etc. The rear subframe is off a 2002 WRX and is finger tight. The struts are not bolted in on the top and finger tight on the bottom. The hubs are from a 2.2L 5MT impreza with drums.

It's a rolling chassis at this point. I'll be sure to correct the tread direction when I take it out for a spin tonight.

Is that a Turbo XS FMIC or the SSAC/ebay knockoff?

are you kidding??? you can see it says turboxs on the top, and all ebay ones have the bumper beams, where turboxs has the bumper mounts welded right to the core

TXS Genuine. The SSAC isn't bad per say, but the core on the TXS is much nicer and the TXS has aluminum pipes (lighter) compared to the steel SSAC/eBay ones.

Sorry brotato, I didn't notice it said Turbo XS on it. I figured it was a legit TXS because I thought the bov was a TXS one and I know that comes with the kit.

Yeah I was just curious. I have been following your build thread and just figured I would ask. I knew the core was better, but I never knew the pipes were aluminum on the TXS.
