Default help/opinions on wire harness swapping

so the winter build consists of piecing together a 04-07 ej257 block with built internals, cams, blah blah blah. i'll be reusing my 02 wrx tgv and upwards parts. the big concern i'm having is deciding what to do about the AVCS. i originally wasn't going to run it, thrown in wrx cams/gears block avcs sensors blah blah and call it a day.

now i'm considering getting the avcs sensors and running avcs because of the help from a local friend. he has a wrecked 06 wrx (so that means it also had avcs) i'm thinking of taking his wiring harness and ecu to be able to run the avcs appropriately. i'm not running hydra because not many tune it and it's out of my budget. as far as we know the sensors between the sti ones that would fit and the wrx ones for avcs should function the same (please correct me if i'm wrong).

along with his ecu what exact wiring harnesses do i need from his car to make this work??

also the fact that 06 is drive by wire wouldn't affect that i'm using my drive by cable TB correct? that wiring would just be omitted in the cluster F of splicing, right?

i've posted this because most threads are about doing a full sti wiring job. am i doing something wrong considering using his cheaper and easy to get wrx avcs parts? should i be doing this entire thing diffferently??

build info. this is going into an 02 wrx. block and heads are pre08 ej257. gonna be running 9.8cr on e85. turbo undecided no real power goal just autox and street fun, don't need a numbers monster. basically an autox car with occassional nice day drives
