Hi - not really sure we know what you mean. Do you mean a car that isn't in stock? In which case it has to be ordered, scheduled, built, shipped, processed, prepped and delivered. The times vary based on demand, model etc and each customer should deal with their ordering dealer for status.

Ordered STI in October.
The dealer seems to have no visibility into when it will arrive. Each month they get an allotment. If the car is not in that allotment, then wait until next month to see what is in that allotment. Rinse and repeat. No indication of what will be in one allotment to the next. But they will get in a STI that no one has ordered, and it sits there until someone buys it.

You would think that once an order is placed, Subaru would be able to check the schedule of when a car that matches that order will be made and shipped. Right now it just seems random. Build a bunch of cars (probably the most popular configurations) and let the dealers sort it out when they show up on lots (or in allocations).

I think the better question is how some dealers can see the progress of your order vs. some who don't have a clue. Is it a training issue, priviledges, seniority, granted info dependant on % of sales, etc.?

For example, one of my friends just ordered a 2011 WRX Limited through Southern States/Performance Subaru NC, and he knew it's build date, and its soon-to-be delivery date.

I would agree with the randomness, hence why I have never ordered new through Subaru in the past**.

Anyone had any luck (or trouble) with the Subaru Loyalty Program? I'm going between departments of SoA and Chase Finance trying to get my previous lease disposition fee waived and some credit towards the new vehicle, which is EXACTLY what they stated they would do in a letter to me, this as part of the Subaru loyalty program.

All good and well in theory, not so simple in practice

The letter I got said they would waive the dispostion fee and waive the 1st months payment.

When I leased the 08 Hatch after my 05 WRX, the dealer inputted the waived fees into his computer system. We didn't have to contact anyone.

Why do we keep asking about future products? I can't be SURE... but I THINK that SOA Blog has said SOMEWHERE before that they would never answer questions about future products. But I'm probably just crazy. Like really crazy. You know.

Financing question here...

I have an STi or order that is due at the port around xmas.
By the time I take delivery will probably be mid January.

Currently Subaru is advertising 1.9% on Imprezas and WRXs delivered from dealer stock by January 3.
Are STis included and I can get 1.9% by doing the paperwork this year after the car arrives at the port ?
Otherwise, is the 2.9% still available and will it still be available in January ?
