This is my old setup...Block just rebuilt and many many new parts (incl a Dom 3 XTR)... will post that once dyno'd

e85 is likely one of the best things i have done to the car. i will never go back.

Took my car to the track.

I made 13 passes, and every time I was spinning all 4 tires in 1st gear. Conditions are terrible because the track got flooded and there is still dirt/sediment all over the area. Also under powered from a pre-turbo exhaust leak.

@ RaceLegal Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego

Best time of the night was an 8.282 (1/8th mile)

Car weighs 3340lbs No Driver, full tank of gas. 3515lbs with me in it.

7. 316whp 352wtq / SurfGuruJeff /05 STi/ VF39 / 8.282@83.95mph / 850cc + 85% / 10 ft

Some guy with a G35 made a video of just how bad the track conditions were. That's me zipping by him.

ok chime in and let me know what you think!??!
i just had my 05 sti motor rebuilt, the guy who did the work, said i had 2 cyclinders with broken ringlands, the car had been driven a bit while trying to rule out other problems. the builder said that there was a lot of black gunk on the intake, he blames the e85 and said it probably was degrading something in the fuel system.
I wonder if it was just from burning so much oil. it burned a lot of oil over the last months before the rebuild, long story.
e85 or oil or >????

oil burning. See it all the time on engines not running e85.

i drove the car home carefully, 30 miles from the builder, with my e85 map and a tank full of 93oct. the builders computer would not work to change my map, my pc is not working with rom raider either. so the builder drove it with the e85 map and the a/f ratio's were ok. so can i drive it 970 more miles on the e85 map, since i won't be getting on it till i change the oil and the fuel back to e85. or do i need to find a way to get the 93oct map on the car???

you're better off running that tank dry and continuing with the break in on e85. Just change the oil more frequently to minimize any contamination from the fuel. I swapped over to e85 130 miles into my break in and then threw the bitch on the dyno. Tuned her to 500whp and had zero issues. I'm not recommending that for you because I have no idea how good of a builder you have.

You have to be rich as hell on an e85 map running 93 octane. Rich is no good for break in. Taking a fresh motor and making a ton of carbon deposits in it is an absolute waste.

hey thanks, i found a freind with a computer that runs romraider, and i have a 93oct map, so i'll put it on till it's broke in, then back to e85.

OEM twin scroll manifolds? they seem to be flowing pretty well.

Default five-0 injectors

every car i've tuned with a FPR is finicky. They dont seem to keep consistent fuel pressure. And they dont seem to work exactly like stock......they seem to drop FP more and i've had to re-adjust the high MAFv range on almost all of them. I guess it could be installation issues but it seems to be a common issue across the board.

I think topfeeds and stock FPR will give better/more consistent results than big azz sidefeeds and a FPR.
So people are having good luck with the five-0 injectors? Better than the ID injectors?

In my opinion the injectors are your last line of defense against detonation so i want to make sure i have the best ones i can.

I need a setup that will run gas just fine but will run e85. I live in raleigh nc and there is 1 e85 gas station here (luckily near my house) other then state owned stuff so i plan to run e85 more like a "race gas tune". So i need something that will idle fine on gasoline but flow enough for ~420whp (max) on E85.

Thank you,

I'd also like some more feedback on the five-o's as I'm considering dropping the ID1000's in favor of some five-o 1200's for the next e85 build.

The station on 64? Fill out your profile so we know more about you.

Several people here have had great results with the five-0 injectors.

That's cool, I've just read the id1000/2000s were like the holy grail of injectors. They seem to idle great and run really well. Although to run them on a legacy you pretty much have to change the rails, fpr and convert to parallel fueling so any of those things could help with their reputation. I currently have a vf52 on stock injectors and fuel pump so the next step is more fuel, then probably start the modification circle over again with a bigger turbo (lol EFR is in the dreams still trying to make it in the budget.)
But the eventual goal will be 350-400 whp on stock bottom end (for as long as it lasts).
P.S. my profile is now updated

the fiveO 1200s already have been proven to work really well, I have them.

Did you guys get the account with FiveO?

I been thinking about my future setup, I need a fuel system to support a 35r size turbo.

I wonder if my 1200cc with a FPR and one of the news fuel pumps (Deatschweks 300 or Aeromotive 340) will suffy. I am probably better of by switching to 1600cc with one of the new pumps.

The fiveO 1200s are bosh EV14, the 1600s are Denso EV6, does anyone know if the Denso EV6 are any good?

Thanks for the map Ron

well....you have it 2/3 right juan.

The topfeeds are ev14 and ev6.....the 1200cc sidefeeds are JECS...which i believe are merely modded stockers.

Yes i got the account....the problem is that they are already so cheap its hard to make any money after shipping and paypal fees.

I can get a good discount if i order 10-15 sets but i dont really like selling parts...too many questions. I like people who just buy stuff
