Question 2011 WRX/STI: How to remove front bumper vents?

I'm trying to adjust the level of the fog lights on my 11 rex. I've read some threads and the first step is to remove the front bumper vents. Does anyone know how to remove them?

Are you sure through the vent? I think you either have to go underneat the bumper or simply remove it... Hmm...

All I know about the fog light adjustment comes from this thread... But I don't know how to perform that "push and pull" : (

^^^^ Yup, the 3 that are right in front of the wheel that are closest to the bottom corner of the bumper. This is the easiest way without getting under the car.

Hey all that are following this thread,

What method are you using to re-position / re-aim your fog lights?

For example, are you parking the car X feet from a wall and then using the screw adjustment to aim the fog lights slightly below the headlights by a certain amount of inches on the wall, but higher than where they were originally? Etc.

fog lights are meant to aim a lot lower than the headlight,s if you are 10 ft from a wall and you aim them a foot below the headlight then when youre 100ft away from something theyll be shooting to the stars. you want them to be level period. park the car on a level surface and make sure theyre aiming level it will be a lot better when you end up in actual fog.

Left and right side are different. Different colors are different part numbers. Go to your dealer or subarugenuineparts.com

Somehow this vent came loose on my STi. I know the person who did my clear bra removed these vents, it is possible they did not put it back properly. I noticed it was loose while giving it a wash this weekend.

It was not snapped in properly and I could not snap it back in, so I searched and surprisingly found this very helpful thread! Thanks.

I was able to undo those three clips in the wheel well (and also one on the bottom of the bumper), then just reach in and snap the vent in from the inside.

Unfortunately one of the three clips that snap in the actual vent is missing, but with the top and bottom one secure I'll wait until I am at the dealer next time to pick up another one for the middle. It seems the middle clip is largely redundant because there is very minimal, if any, play in the vent when using only two of the three.

Me and my friend said F**k It to ours and just put a bead of strong glue around the inner edge of the two vents so you never have to worry about that poorly made side design vent and clips again haha
