Default 06 Sti Airbag Issue

Hey guys, I have a 06 STI that is giving me some airbag issues. It is a clean title car that has not been in any accidents. I took it to the dealer so they could check the airbag code... The system is basically throwing every single code.

#26 Pass airbag failure
#36 Seat position sensor left failure
#38 Buckle Switch LH failure
#27 ODS Comm Failure
#42 Side airbag LH Failure
#31 Side airbag RH failure

The dealer didn't know exactly what it was that was causing this, and said they would just have to check every part of the system until the problem was fixed. They dont know how long it will take so I would rather not pay the dealership for a ton of labor hours.

I tried putting in a used Control Unit from a 06 WRX. It came out of a parts car I had that did not have any airbags deploy. It did not resolve the issue.

There is also a airbag plug underneath the driver seat that has nothing to plug into it. I tried putting a resistor on it.... Did not make a difference.

HELP!

more information is needed. Does the car have stock STi seats? or seats with airbags at all? and what size resistor did you use? If the driver seat was unplugged odds are the passenger seat is unplugged to so it needs a resistor.

It has stock 06 STI seats. I used 3.3ohm resistor. I checked the passenger side and it has 1 less plug than driver side and does not have any unplugged.

so your yellow airbag plug is unplugged and there is nothing to plug it into and the Subaru dealership said it wasn't a problem? There's something really wrong there. Is everything plugged in the correct place? The drivers side should have 2 plugs on the seat on the bottom. One is white which is for the seatbelt, the other is yellow which plugs into the airbag. Your passenger side im pretty sure has 2 or 3. One for the airbag, one for the occupancy sensor and I'm not sure if on an 06 if it has a seatbelt sensor. If you said you tried a airbag from another car that you knew worked and that didn't fix it then you have ruled out that. So it has to be a wiring issue. How many wires, plugs are their on your driver seat?

there are a total of 4 plugs underneath seat. 3 are for airbag system and 1 is not. Well 3 are yellow and 1 isn't..... So only one of the 3 airbag yellow plugs are not plugged in. I also thought that was weird when the dealer said that was no big deal.
