i have yet to drive an 08+ sti but i want the 2011 in the worst way possible.
I've driven an 09 and 10 a lot smoother ride but I like feeling the road so not really big deal for me waiting to drive the 11 they sell too quick here though

socal has a bunch just laying around. they do move quick but a dealership always has at least 1 or 2 before the next shipment comes in

I just picked one up at a new Subaru dealership near Sac.

The "dangerous tune" has me concerned.
At least if mine blows up I have a warranty.
When I bought the car this last weekend I kept telling myself I would stay stock this time.

Then I read this thread........

Slightly off topic but just an update from my previous post. I installed the ap and it's the best 600 I've every spent. The car should have came this way

EVERYONE that I have ever met that did the AP didnt regret it...I agree also...Subaru needs to have the car come like that all it takes is a little computer tuning

I actually think Mazda pushes their ms3's to max cause even with the cobb ap, they dont get very much gain from the ap and considering the fuel pump can only handle up to stage 1 and if stage 2 was done then the fuel pump also needs to be upgraded..

My best friend has a MS3 and it's a monster. When I bang second gear the cars torque will change lanes if you don't hold on tight. Not to mention 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear are limited in the MS3's because the direct injection in that MISI motor makes them impossible to drive. I've raced him multiple times with a 2010 WRX Stage 2 TP Map and he's not very far behind me with just an intake and race pipe. The EVO's get something like 28% from the AP which is insane but they still feel slow to me.

still, nearly everything is limited as all hell from factory. hell the dealer might as well add the cobb ap + supporting mods as a package deal.

my friend also has a stage 2 ms3 too and i've driven it plenty of times. it does pull hard for a car with such a small turbo.

yeah i was just gonna say what the post above said, they'd probably charge us $1000k to "install" it and what not so better off if aftermarket stuff like cobb stays away from stealerships. But it'd be nice for subaru to support the aftermarket community with warranty issues haha

too true. there were even some evo 9's that came with a 'buschur 350' package which included some exhaust parts and a flash - stock. hint hint subaru lol. and yea ive driven a MS3/6 they are very torquey motors. the 6 was just a tank, all the creature comforts in it didnt make it very light at all. i wouldnt mind to have one tho they are very nice cars.

So I got bored on Sunday and converted over to E85. Just did some quick adjustments of fueling to get me going, but OMG it's much more responsive on E85. I will be on the dyno this week with it again for the big stock block numbers. I really want to see 450-500whp on our Dyno Dynamics. I will definately have the video camera rolling for those pulls.

Also just heard from JRZ today that the suspension bits are back from the anodized which means assembly and shipping is just around the corner.

I found these weights from Forged's Site.

4lbs Front strut Brace
15lbs Front Fender Braces
10lbs Rear lightweight bumper Beam
14lbs Rear A Brace Vers 2
5lbs 4 Point Ladder Mid Chassis Brace

Hope this helps some. I am also putting together a list of weights of items to make a lightweight post for the 2011 Sti sedans. If you like pm me with weights and I will get one started thank you.

Just Curious what the sizes/specs are for those wheels and tires. Coming from a narrowbody 08 sedan Id have no idea what fitment the widebodys need.

The weight may not be 100% accurate here. It was an estimated box weight with packing material etc.
