mmfullen - how do you like your coilovers? Eventually I'm going to be in the market for some entry level coilovers and I've been looking at various brands and I'm just seeing how they all stack up against each other.

ok im almost dead set on the OZ Alleggeritas in 17". they look nice, and are super light. price is a little steep, but i can afford it and they will only be used as a summer set anyway.
I am lowered on Epic Engr springs, stock dampers for now, and Konis on the way. im debating between red/orange/gold. and more biased toward re/gold than the orange. what do you think? ![]() ![]() ![]() i actually have a Silver 2010 WRX, but tirerack doesnt have stock photo for the WRX so this is close enough. |

red or orange? wow, that's too bold for me. even gold is a stretch. i went gold only to go back to hyperblack... just my opinion...

everyone does black/grey/silver/gunmetal on silver cars. its old and boring to me at this point.
plus my stock wheels, which are now used for winter, are gunmetal, so id like to not have 2 sets of wheels that look the same. |

ooooo
OR rpf1's in gold 18" (only 18" because rpf1's always look about an inch smaller than they actually are) i like the offset a bit more too. and they are a little cheaper. ![]() |

I think 18's in anything add an elevated level of seriousness to the look. I have 17's and 18's and the 17's look small for the bulbous wrx.
Wheel design also plays into the success of colored wheels, and also think they will only be that color once, and will quickly become dirty. There is nothing worse, in my mind, than screaming look at me then not having the set-up to back up the attention. In the end the choice is yours and any will look sick, but the red/orange are going to be to focal point of that car, where as the gold will be an accent. If you tied in some subtle vinyl striping in a matching color to the wheels in orange or red it could be insane. |

It's not a WRX but I guess it would work here.

Thanks guys. I bought the Gold OZs from tire rack in 17x8.
I also bought some Continental ExtremeContact DW tires in 245/40/17 i opted to not buy any TPMS stuff since that would be another 300ish after the sensors and tool. ill just ignore the light or cover it up. and will be mounted and balanced by tirerack and shipped to me. should be about 3 weeks cause the only warehouse that could ship it out together (im guessing the tires were the holdup) wont get the wheels until 3/11. est delivery for 3/15-3/16. and plus one to that black impreza above. very clean. |

so, i have an easy question. I have a 2010 WRX hatch, completely stock. Will the OEM 2011 WRX or 2011 STI wheels fit on my ride? How will they fit? offset? rolling?

the oem wrx wheels will fit no problem, the sti wheels won't because the bolt pattern is different, wrx's use 5x100 and sti's use 5x114.3

'11 WRX wheels will fit fine. I believe they're the same offset as your stock wheels (+55) so that will work but as icetc said, the STi wheels are a different bolt pattern so that will not work. And you definitely wouldn't need a roll with the '11 WRX wheels.

I think the '11 WRX wheels are 17x8 +53 compared to stock '10 WRX wheels which are 17x7 +55.
