Hi
I'm thinking of building a secondary fuel tank for to extend my range. I do not use a spare tyre in the trunk so this is the space where i am going to use as my seconday fuel tank. I don't want a metal trash in my trunk so I would like to use fuel bladders. http://www.atlinc.com/rangeextender.html I made a little search and find PTFE Teflon to be used as fuel bladder. It is anti static and waterproof and can resist most chemicals. Are there any textile engineers here who can suggest me a good fabric to use as a fuel tank? Ethanols resistancy is important.

I am planning transferring fuel with 'T' a pipe. There are already metal products that keeps LPG which can be fitted into trunk. This what they made for.
I don't want a crappy metal can on my trunk and i would like to use every inch of that space. The capacity should be around 25-30 gallon plus stock fuel tank. Moreover you can easly fold off this bladder. Last edited by 555; 03-19-2011 at 06:35 PM. |
