P0011, P0021 and a blown turbo...
So i was cruisin along in my 04 STi last weekend and all of a sudden those two codes poped up. Being about a mile from my house i continued to drive home. I started hearing scraping noises coming from the turbo until eventually it started sounding like a blender. From what i could see there was no smoke at all.
After doing some research and picking up a used VF39 with no shaft play and 18000 miles, i learned that P0011 and P0021 is related to an oil issue. I saw some threads from a few guys stating that after their turbo replacment there motor died, which deffinatly scared me. So my questions are what should i be looking for to avoid this? Whats the best way to check for oil clogs to the turbo or the AVCS? And what else could cause an engine failure after those codes and a blown turbo? Thanks |
