if the AFR column is unknown to the program then it wont show up. Send me a log that it isnt showing up in and Ill support that column in the future. Every now and then I have to add a column due to a new column name being released or finding a new one that I havent seen yet.

You can send a log to bradbarnhill at hotmail com

Thanks,

Brad Barnhill

did you put those column names in the custom column names section of Virtual Dyno? Its in the settings screen. There should be 5 lines for custom column names in the graph settings screen.

*EDIT*
Just saw your post. With the help of jlogic I started changing the column names to spaces. I can now see a graph! Thank you sir! I'm sure I can stir up some donations for you

Sent you an e-mail about adding another car to the list. Looks like your site is down, so hopefully everything is still going OK. Love the program!

Site is up.

Sorry for the delay in releasing 1.1.0 but I keep having good ideas to add functionality. I wanted to modify the auto-updating process that I implemented in this release to be able to also check for just updated car defintions and updated column names without having to reinstall the program. I finished writing the code for this the other day and have been putting it through the ringer testing it. I have streamlined it so that it doesnt interfere with the programs functionality or slow it down. I have seperated the updating process from the rest of the program (on a seperate thread). I hope to test it over the next several days and then release this thing. I know my users have been patiently waiting this release and I hope when it releases that you all arent disappointed at all. I have put a lot of time in this release and its a pretty big update. I just wanted to make sure everyone knows that I am still working on this project and still committed to its success.

Keep the faith ... Im still here ... Im working hard on it ... and I will keep you posted.

Graduated with my Masters yesterday ...

Its coming along nicely. I hate delaying the release but dang this is such a major update that I want to make sure everything is working correctly and testing the automatic update feature is lengthy. Ill put it this way we have gotten to Beta #42 ... its time consuming for me and I promise Im working on it as much as possible. Donations have ceased for about 2 months so I want to get this edition out so maybe those will pick up again too. Ive added a ton of new cars and people have just sent me about 10 more cars to add so Ill add these probably on the way to this stinking wedding today.

Keep the faith ... I am very committed to this release ... its coming.

I have been aggravating my wife that I have finally "Mastered" something. I also kid her because she has a bachelors in nursing and I have a Masters now. Though she has 4 years of experience it still eats at her when I rub it in. She is also in CRNA (doctorate) school right now ... so she tells me to live it up for 2 years till she finishes.

I love driving her crazy.

Get ready to have to call her "Doctor" for the rest of your life if you keep it up!

If you want to shoot me the beta, I'd love to test out the cars I've added to make sure all the numbers look right.

Sent you the data for a 2003 OBS. Drag coef is 0.33, not 0.34 (corrected).

Cool. I have been testing the betas and I can say its really improved. Many cars added, auto updating, new fixes, etc.

Also we added a "Vitrual Dyno" dyno CF setting. This will make the DYNO CF 1.00. Doing this makes VD read the same as airboy.

One question about curb weight - from the info I've gathered, it includes all the necessary fluids, a FULL gas tank, AND a 175lbs driver. Can anyone corroborate? If we're to get picky on parameters and adjust the load based on the amount of crap we have in our cars, it would be good to make sure what the official values mean

I've never heard that it includes a driver. I always just add occupant weight where it says to enter occupant weight, lol.

The new release is not honoring created profiles like it did in the last release....

You have to select the vehicle each time...

US curb weight includes all fluids needed to run the car ie full gas, full oil, etc. It DOES NOT include the weight of the driver.

If you want to have the most accurate results using virtual dyno, I suggested getting your car weighed so you know the actually weight of your car.

Your old profiels wont work with the new version. You will have to re make them.
