I just wanted to quote this because I bought the same axleback and it is fantastic. Great build and sound. Plus it was cheap. If your looking for some suby rumble again and on a budget, this exhaust is awesome!

Looking to get some springs to lower my WRX a little bit. Which would be a better choice? Epic springs or RCE Yellows?

As soon as I can free up the funds, the Epic's are going on.

I have they are awesome. I also ordered yellow fog overlays as well. Ordered about a week ago and they came a couple days ago. It may take him a couple days to get with you, but once I paid I got items quick. Well worth the $$ -

Anyone have pics of 2011 on the Epic Springs??

PS - I'm relatively new to Nasioc, I checked it every so often when I used to have my 06 legacy, but a couple weeks ago, I traded in for '11 SSM WRX....Still breaking her in with about 600 miles

Excited to communicate with you all and learn more about the car and mods people are doing.

Also - I ordered a TWM short shifter and was wondering how important it is to have the bushings? i've heard it's fine to just replace the shifter and leave the stock bushings/linkage...

Thoughts?

That will be fine, but the bushings help firm it all up. They'll help to get rid of that mushy feeling. If you don't put them in, the shift throw will be shortened, but when u get to the end of the throw, you're gonna feel like you hit bubblegum instead of the end of your throw. Hope that makes sense. You'll also feel a slight amount of vibration.

It's fine to not do the bushings, but it's SO much better with them. The short shifter will make the throw smaller, but the bushings make it feel firmer, less mushy, and a bit more notchy than stock.

Note, unless you do the SPT shifter, you do the shifter from inside the car, and the bushings from under the car. So it's not a simple "While you're in there, jsut throw them on" sort of operation. That said, it's well worth it.

I think there may be a thread for this, but since there isnt much action, and this thread is for anythihng... why not ask:

What were the first 5 mods you did? and if you could do it over again, what first 5 mods would you do?

Thanks!

Why the hella horns? Is it more purely for aesthetics, or am I missing something? Don't fully understand the importance of a "better" horn?

right now I'm looking at
HID - have just waiting install
Short Shifter - have just waiting install
Tint - need to make appt, but for sure doing before the summer in seattle
Accessport? (Wouldn't mind a little extra power /performance of the car)
Gauges? (I'm new to turbo and just got 2011 so I really wanna treat it well - this useless unless i am pushing more HP and mods??)
Air intake (unsure of short ram or CAI at this point ,read pros/cons of both...)
suspension (sways/springs)

Thanks all!

Our stock horns are anemic at best and nobody hears them. The Hellas are loud and will get someone's attention, hopefully saving your behind when you need them.

I'm not down with the accesport myself. At the end of the day, you're still gonna have to pay a tuner the money to properly dyno tune your car for optimal performance and safety, so to spend almost $600 plus dyno and tuner time is freaking silly as hell to me when a Tactrix cable for less than $200 and one of the many apps for your smartphone is a whole lot cheaper. That's just me though.

Gauges........whatever you want at this point. When you're stage 2+, there are a couple that are must haves.

It rains a ton in Seattle, right? I wouldn't tempt the gods with a CAI, I'm just really overly cautious about hydrolock. I have the worst luck ever! lol A short ram will do the job just fine.

as stated, Hellas will surely get anyones attention. Now do you see most Hellas in a red or other color? yes and are overstated IMO. I wanted a stealth look, so I got mine black Hellas from Subimods and I also bought the Subimods mounting bracket, which is also black.

in the garage, yes, you see them

in the real world, you barely see them

Just finished breaking in the engine so I ordered a COBB intake and AccessPort. Right now I'm waiting for them to come in. I also ordered a carbon fiber front lip to add more support to the front bumper as it is pretty flimsy stock. First thing I did was tinted windows. Its hot as hades in Orlando right now and leather absorbs way too much heat

I have HIDs, but are not installed yet.

Here are just the DRL in a parking ramp during the daytime. Instead of the brownish OEM DRLs, these are a bit different

same bulbs in my Civic Si (not a very good pic) but this is high beams (Luminics) and low beams (silverstar ultra)

real world pic, same DRL bulbs in my Si. Ideally, an OEM and DRL side by side pic would be nice.
