Question Center Caps for Enkei Wheels

Are Enkei center caps universal for Enkei wheels?

Are there any that are entirely carbon fiber, or do they just have the cf background behind the Enkei logo?

The reason I ask is because I'm trying to get my hands on 2011 STI Enkei wheels and I absolutely do not want the center cap with the STI logo. I'm looking for a proper replacement and I'm not finding any basic info from the Enkei site or on the forum here (stickies or otherwise).

If they are universal fit then I'm going to order one of the various Enkei center caps from tirerack.com.

I'm not going to slap a sticker or vinyl of cf over the center caps either.

If anyone can educate me on Enkei wheels your help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Thanks!

So my other question:

What's the diameter of the center cap hole for the 2010 STI SE/ 2011 STI sedan Enkei wheels?

I'm wondering which category of Enkei these wheels are under: Racing? Tuning? Performance?

At tirerack, the nice, flat Enkei center caps are $51-$52 a piece. The domed, chromey ones are $16 each. Obviously I prefer the flat ones, especially since they have ones that aren't chrome around the edge.

The factory wheels use a different diameter and retention ring depth than the aftermarket Enkei wheels. You are not going to easily fit aftermarket Enkei center caps on the stock WRX wheels.

Also, if you have a 2011 WRX, the 2010 STI wheels aren't going to fit. They are 5x114.3, your WRX is 5x100.

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2185549

I actually take pride in my Specialist status and member number, even if some don't.

Every once in a while there are a set of wheels that strike me as "hawt". I never liked the BBS wheels on my '05 STI, but I LOVED my '08 FSXT STI wheels. Now I'm in love with the STI Enkei wheels.

So does your explanation include STI wheels? Or was it under the assumption that I was attempting to fit 5x114.3 STI wheels on a 5x100 WRX hub?

It does. I was on their website today, though, looking for contact info and couldn't find anything.

I'll try again. Also thinking I should email Subaru for STI Enkei specs. I'm in no rush, I just like learning.

No, he has the 100 to 114.3 spacer adapters.

If you want to be crafty, buy what ever center cap you want and then machine a piece of Delrin or pc to mate them to the stock wheels. You have the wheels already, so you have those dimensions.

It's summer in Alaska, go fishing or something. Do this mess later!

I did all of my outdoor activities in May (two 3-day weekends of camping in a row). Summer for me is driving anytime I get the chance. I can hazz wheel grips sooner than later?

Yeah, when I get the wheels next week I guess I'll just measure them myself. I saw tirerack had 65.8mm for a few of their center cap replacements.

It's not only about diameter. Look at the recess and how the cap clips in.

Do people still cruise northern lights blvd?

I know what you mean about clipping in. I tried swapping 08 FSXT centers with 01 RS ones before. FAIL.

nah, we have Taco Bell meets now, off Dimond. It's amusing. What's your background with Anchorage? Did you hear that we're FINALLY getting an Olive Garden?

I thought about that. CF would be the only one I'd seriously consider, otherwise I'm more of a "real deal" kinda guy whenever I can be. Anything to hide the red STI logo.
