Only reason I ask is I received the cobb intake for a Birthday present and I don't have the fund atm to do the AP/Tune right now.
It's HIGHlY recommended!! You are changing the airflow to the intake mani and you'll have a high probability of running lean or rich at high boost IMO.

So I have an STi license plate delete that was all black....

Ive color matched the "red" on the STi badges on the car. With A LOT of patience and an exacto knife I taped off the STi and cut it out and painted it. Still drying (hence why it's not on the car) but I think it looks good. Hope it looks good on the car!!

Nice! I was just thinking of getting a delete for mine, but now I see that it's tiny on our relatively massive front bumpers. I think I might just get the stainless silver euro-style marque plate instead. I'm kind of enjoying all these silver and chrome accents on my car now that I have the 2008 base Impreza trunk.

Any of you guys change out your interior lights for LEDs yet? I'm thinking about replacing the dome light, map lights, rear license plate light, and trunk light for some white LEDs. Any tips? Superbrightleds is way cheaper than VLEDS but I don't know if they will burn out faster.

Love it! Like someone suggested in the other thread and you responded: Remove the grille badge. It's too much business in the front. I'm loving that LPD, though! Good work, I know you worked hard on it.

OH YES!!!! THAT'S THE HIT RIGHT THURR!!!!

So on a more self-centered note, I've decided to embrace the chrome window trim and base Impreza chrome trunk trim by getting a rear license plate frame in chrome (WRX) and front Euro-style WRX marque plate in silver instead of black. I'm hoping my local dealer has them in stock (doubtful) and I can get them on Friday when I get paid. I think it'll look good. Definitely different, but I think it'll work well with the DGM.

Haha... I covered up my chrome window trim with blackout tape and looking at getting the SPT carbon trunk trim. We are opposites!

Yeah, I decided to leave the SPT cf trim on my WRX wing that I traded with my buddy's base Impreza. I was going to switch, but decided I really liked the chrome because it justified the windows. Without the window trim I'd so no bueno. Plus the STI wheels are a nice silver that compliment the fender badges (aka justifies the fender badges).

Get the black top aero cf trunk trim! Only $99 and no SPT label.

LOL only $341 for the smallest unpainted spoiler. The STI spoiler was less than that and your shipping it from japan. It looks bad A** though I would do it!

Yeah, better than the painted version for around $600. We have a military guy up here in Alaska visiting from Japan right now, I'll ask him if he can ship it over slowboat cheaper than japanparts. I'll throw him a few bucks for compensation of his time.

I want this spoiler so bad! Most likely in the fall. I'm gonna give the Treble Racing trunk lip spoiler a shot for a few months. It doesn't look to bad in the pics. I should get mine any day now.

Just ordered my invidia catless downpipe. Next up is Cobb bpv. Already installed Cobb sf intake and nameless axleback. Now I'm waiting on someone to make a midpipe for the sedans.

I'm thinking I would like to upgrade to a Big Brake Kit some time in the future. Something less than Project Mu's $8k kit.

What is the spec on our brakes? Do we share anything with previous models (earlier WRX or Legacy front/rear)?

I might just spec out some Racing Brake kits or attempt StopTechs for truer BBK. This is all new to me, so I'm just starting on my homework.

The list of what I'm checking out so far and confirming fitment for:

Project Mu
Brembo
StopTech
Prodrive 330MM Conversion (Don't know much about this one)
Racing Brake

Does Wilwood make anything for our cars yet?

I'm not sure about wilwood but big brake kits are crazy expensive. I looked into it also. I decided if I'm gonna do anything with the brakes I will prob just upgrade the pads. The only way I would go big brake is if I started autocrossing. They do look bad*** tho

wilwoods are great. had them on my old car, pads were only 50bucks every 1.5-2years. i made the mistake of driving the sti limited first before buying the wrx sedan and the only thing that really stuck out to me was the awesome brakes (*and the very notchy shifter). i saw someone did the retrofit of the new sti brake kit *f&r* for about 1200 (redrilling the rotors to 5x100) id love to do that if not the wilwoods for sure

ok two questions...

1. Is anyones AC compressor unusually loud, I can hear it pretty well when it turns on.

2. Anyones hood scoop shake while their driving? Drives me nuts...
