Default The "Robstopper"

Been a while since I've been on here, but as Chris B asked me to post up my pics from the recent Asda (Walmart) charity track day we had last weekend, thought I'd better update you all with the latest pics of my GC8 Classic Turbo 2000, affectionately known as the "Robstopper" because of it's passing similarity to the legendary RCM "Gobstopper"

Thanks chaps

She's taken over 7 years to get to this stage, and a few different looks along the way, but I'm pretty happy with her now

That was made by RCM, as a replica of the one fitted to the Gobstopper. It's based on a 22B spoiler, with the custom carbon fibre top element and the metal support uprights. Only one they've ever made, and Matt Clark has promised me that they'll never make another one

And as for the engine bay and interior...........there's really not much to see, it's all largely standard and not that modified! But, you asked, so here you go

I'm back up to RCM this Saturday hopefully, for a new set of 18" Rota GRA's in white, fitted with Continental ContiSportContact 3 tyres.......another four-figure expenditure!!

thanks for the compliment!

Will get some nics pics of the new wheels when they're on, should hopefully closer resemble those fitted to the Gobstopper at the moment.

Sorry it took so long to get pics up, the wheels were a bit later getting in to RCM than we'd hoped. But, here we go - new Rota GRA, 18x7.5", fitted with Continental ContiSportContact 2 215/35x18 tyres, and also D1 Spec lightweight aluminium nuts.

i liked the prodrives more but the car looks amazing regardless.

any reason you chose an 18x7.5 and 215/35/18 tire?

18" as I need them that size to clear the AP Racing 6 pot brakes, 7.5" because thats the only width they come in, and 215/35 tyres as the most suitable size to avoid rubbing - 225/35 or 215/40 wouldn't have worked.

I do still love the PFF7's, but they were starting to become quite common
