Once I get the approx head count, then I'll figure out if and when we can do the shootout. For now I'm just looking to see how many people total are interested in doing something like this, regardless of time. Assume the timing fits your schedules, just let me know if it's of interest to you.

Thanks

Hey guys thanks for the emails.. however, I've only got about a dozen total. We'll need more people interested to be able to get my sponsors on board. I've only promoted this on Nasioc, but if you guys can help me and get the word out.. pass along my email to anyone who's interested as well. If I can get about 40-50 interested, I think I can make it happen.

thanks again everyone.

a.

I'd easily attend anywhere in the lower 48. Are we talking shop cars or who ever wants to run?

What was the consensus. West coast?

Because the MWSOC drag day seems to grow by 20-30% every year for the past 3-4 years. I could talk to the local marketing rep for the Chicago zone to see what kinda funding they could provide.

But IMO, most of the money would have to come from other ways of sponsorship. Energy drink, race fuel, clothing, shoe etc. Considering the sales issues subaru had this year because of the tsunami, I don't think the manufacture/dealerships will have the kinda additional advertising funds that would have been expected 2 years ago.

We need to make this happen. How about trying to mix with a trackday to encourage more vendor participation?

thats pretty much the problem, there are a few cars out here (west) that can compete, and most of the cars are east coast, which are the one's we always hear about

70/30 is my guess, or maybe even more then 70% of the draggers

I'm way in eastern canada but if I have enough notice I'd be more than willing to head out to the west coast With the trailer.
