The turbo would need to go down low in the front.

Wouldn't that be a good thing? Less piping for a FMIC would give cooler air without the lag, right?

So if I'm looking at that pic right, it looks like the turbo is right on the bottom of the engine. Wonder why they would still go TMIC and extend the piping for the intercooler, when it looks like a FMIC would be a foot or so less piping. Probably just because it's part of the subie image to have a useful hoodscoop.

I didn't know if there would be enough room down there. Looks like there will be.

So I'm going to assume those pictures mean it's very likely there will be a turbo version..?.

Hmm.. read the rest of the other thread. A person is saying it's for the new WRX/STi, which makes sense as it appears to have a typical Subaru oil pan, whereas the BRZ is supposed to have a different design for clearance issues. Too bad there likely won't be a photo of the bottom of the BRZ engine bay with the shield removed...

I was looking through the detailed pictures and the BRZ rear exhaust section and rear subframe look very similar to the GR STI. The axelback looks like it would even bolt directly to a GR STI midpipe and the hangers are positioned in the same spots.

Overall, I really like it!

With the way the engine sits in the bay the only option for turbo would be the way 10+ lgt is and instead of top mount to go with side or front mount.

No kidding, why not fill the cutouts and add an extra inch or so to make them look better?

So does anyone else think this shares or ressembles a shell/platform like the lexus LFA?

They should put a bigger engine in and boost up the horse power. They need to step up from the 2.0 and 2.5

This car is a co-design with toyota, part of the agreement is that neither one can make too drastic of a change, ie turbo or AWD, so it's pretty much the exact same as the scion with regards to power, drivetrain and suspension...until that trade agreement runs out.

Sigh. Why not a 3.0? A 4.0? 6.2?

How about adding a turbo?

What about NOS?
