Default Project DD 2000 2.5 RS

I wanted to make a new project thread for my new Daily Driver. Some of you might remember my 03 Bugeye project thread. The Bug is going to be put away for a while and this is going to be my new Daily. Its a 2000 2.5 RS . Just picked it up yesterday and have a lot of plans for this baby! I got it off a member on here. It has a a few mods already. The ony down side is it has a blown engine. Hopefully ill have it up and running soon. Now on to the pics and mod list.

2000 2.5 RS

Exterior.
Custom paint job
Replica V5 wing
V5 Front bumper lip
STi rear under bumper air diffuser
Vortex generator
Fog light covers

Interior.
Custom roll cage welded in
07 STi front and rear seats
Custom door panels
Carbon accents
07 WRX wheel

Suspension.
KYB Struts
SPT Drop Springs
WRX Sways
4 pot front brakes

Nice pick up, looks clean and well taken care of, shame it has a blown engine. What plans do you have for it? Swap?

I like the shifter surround, I was actually thinking of doing something very similar to that but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Thanks! So far rite now just try to swap it out for a stock engine and getting it running good. Once thats all good ill see what I can do from there.

It is! Haha hopefully it will have an STI swap later but for now just a stock RS motor will do.

Awesome pick up man! I really wanted to pick this car up and swap in my sti engine/transmission. But unfortunately that would leave me with a spare GD body haha.

I am curious about your choice of making this car your DD, are you removing the cage, making a roll bar, or what?

nice.. im in the same boat, im picking up my 96 widebody brighton on saturday and put the STi away for the winter.. i have a bunch of plans for both as well just gotta put them to action.. like how you kept the blue theme.. oh n btw the works are perfect.. i was planning on going the same just white and going 18x11 -8 ..

Then just put a stroker motor in the spare GD

Im making this my daily because I not always comfortable parking my Bug at certain places. I'm gonna keep the cage and everything the way it is for now.

Update.

Got a used engine and put it in. Here are some pics.

No engine


I also took out the AC compressor and all the lines. I also remove the cruise control. It looks a lot cleaner now. When i pull the engine back out, im going to paint the bay.
