Spring 2012 Hill Country Meet & Cruise

HERE is the route we will be taking. Its one a lot of us are familiar with but please let me know if you have any questions. We will be making stops along the way for gas, drinks, etc.

Schedule

11:30 - 12:00 - Meet @ Rudy's on N 183 (map here)

1:00 - Caravan out towards hill country, stop at staging area (the Tetco @ 71 & 620) and depart

You dont have to eat at Rudy's but try to show up with enough time to meet everybody, go over route, listen to the safety briefing, etc.

For those of you that have never attended one of these, this is not a race. There are some areas that you will probably be able to open it up a bit but keep in mind that these are public roads. Also, some of the roads can be a bit challenging at high speeds even without traffic.

So - In addition to driving safely, its important to know your limits, as well as the limits of your car.

Everyone is welcome, regardless of your vehicle. While this is a NASIOC cruise and there will be mostly Subarus in attendance, we are a very welcoming group and do not discriminate (unless you bring a Hummer )

Bring Radios!!! - Walkies allow instant communication; call out road damage, animals, traffic, etc. They're also not dependent on cell towers for reception.

UPDATE (02/05/2012):

I spoke with a manager @ Rudy's this morning and gave him the heads up due to the potentially large turnout this time. Since they dont take reservations, I will be showing up a little early (10:30 or so) to reserve some tables outside (or inside if weather sucks). If anyone wants to show up early to help, maybe direct traffic to form an impressive lineup in the parking lot, that would be greatly appreciated.
