in a way it was after applying the first coat, even after sanding, the paint still ran a bit rather than stick so I had to improvise. After that, each coat I applied stuck and the clear coat cleaned it up.

I would have sprayed some high-build primer, sand, paint, and clear.

Not much but I had the radiator brackets powder coated to compliment the radiator shroud

Ooooh. I like this idea. I can see it looks pretty straight forward, but any photos of the build? Since I don't have a bug eye, I don't want the small fogs or the JDM fogs. I really like what you guys did.

I forgot I ever made this thread, but perhaps what you're looking for! I may start fabricating a brazed and much more well put together version of this later in the year.

Sorry, not the best picture but I too just finished a trunk lighting mod in my wagon.
I ended up mounting a couple of LED strips under my rear strut bar. The picture doesn't do any justice to just how bright these things are!

I wish i did, but i dont want to go through it again. its a PITA. Anyways, I took that plastic lining that holds the roof too the body. then i drilled holes into it and just hot glued the LED strip on. made some connectors too connect to the factory bulb plug in.

Subaru doesn't love us Americans enough so we don't get an oil cooler/heater on our 08+ WRX. I had to get creative...

Yes, i designed them, only thing you have to buy is a quality A3 el sheet (pretty expensive) some clips and transparent printable paper (inkjet)

Im using a el sheet that is not laminated because i want it to be as thin as possible, though I've had some 110v shocks while grabbing it hahaha so be careful.
