The Spec C Ra R and the S204 are my two favorite STi's ever. Honestly I like them both more than the 22B. I'm actually not a huge fan of the 22B. That Ra R is really only selling for 30k U.S.?

you know, i wasn't a fan of the 22B also.. it was badass car for it's time.. now just a normal Spec C or even a normal 2002-2011 STI will destory the 22B at just about every event out there.

i don't think they are selling RA-R's in the states... i really don't know how they can sale it and shipping it.

the 2006 RA-R is like my favorite Subaru ever and one of my favorite cars. I would drive that on the daily over a ton of other extremely expensive rides. If I had white RA-R and a white GT3 in my garage I would be set for life.

well obviously newer cars should always outperform older models but the 22b is the only 2 door impreza widebody. Def sexier than all those R and spec cs in my opinion.



and modded would decimate all (dont think anyone can touch this car)

I mean it's badass don't get me wrong, but I think it's just too gaudy for me. I've never been a fan of widebody's even if it is stock, and I've never been a huge fan of the Sti spoilers. That's partly why I like the Ra-R so much is because it's one of the most high performing Sti's but yet is barebones on the outside (even though the Ra-R in this thread has the spoiler, they were available without), albeit the orange and white are really loud colors. The 22B has just never really stuck with me.

Well yeah neither the Ra-R or the S204 have been brought to the U.S. and there's really no legal way to get them here at all. I was just surprised that they are going for the Japanese equivalent of $30K.
I figured that they'd be going for a lot more.

yeah, but i still won't pay $30K for one... the last one i saw for sale from this link is average at $25K-$30K. i rater just build a wide body gc8 with a Spec C motor and 6spd tranny swap in it. doing that is still cheaper and so much better than just buying a 22B.

and i do agree that the gobstopper is somewhat untouchable. but that car cost way more than just $50K. if you buy a Spec C or RA-R and you dropped another $20K to $30K into it.. you'll have something at the same level as the gobstopper. and i think that it's all driver too... the average person can't drive like that. you put Tazan Yamada behind the wheel in Tazan's Cusco Impreza vs the gobstopper at the same circuit... i think it will be a good race.
